Starts today with England v Bangladesh...other than no game being further north than Edgbaston it should be a good tournament and England "should" do well but we know about English sides and performing when they should do well!!

Hopefully that dodgy batting display at the weekend has got it out of our system!!

England fielding first. Think there will be a lot of chasing if you win the toss in this tournament.

Presumably a little wary of batting first in a 10:30 start and picked a side to back that up with Ball playing instead of Rashid although with Ali and Root to bowl spin i dont think its a bad idea.

Ball swinging....if it does that then its a good decision.

Such an average bowling line up and most of the seamers aren't 100% fit either. Dropping Rashid was a tough call.

I'm not a Rashid fan...get one decent spell every few games and other times he can go round the park. Only getting two overs out of Woakes was a blow but hard to criticise the others when its been pretty much the same ones that have been part of the massive turnaround in our limited overs performances. Ali dropping sitters doesnt help either. Fancy us to chase whatever they set mind you.

I'd have played him normally ahead of ball, but I assume his hand was forced with stokes, woakes and wood all having the potential to pull up injured at any point.

He's utter filth. Low 80's and does nothing with it. Perfect slogging fodder on these wickets.

Big mistake from Bangladesh losing both set batsmen in two balls....brainless batting to try and whack the next ball and also get out. Potentially knocks 20/30 runs from the final total.

at least Dernbach could bowl 90mph - Ball offers nothing - I am genuinely staggered at how he is anywhere near the England team

Woakes ruled out of the tournament which is a blow...not just the fact he's done a good job with the ball but him playing effectively means we have two all rounders in the team with him and Stokes. Not many sides have someone with the amount of hundreds etc he has batting at 8!

Rashid will come in and bat at 8

He has more first class 100s and a similar average to Woakes

Just hope they drop Ball
