I sincerely hope not mate, as in its current guise the club wont exist in 12 months time. One can only hope that the silence over the past 6 weeks means something serious is going off behind the scenes (fingers crossed).

Somebody put something on another thread about the take over being off? Is it a rumour doing the rounds or just folk commenting due to the lack of info?

Last I heard things seemed quite positive - infact I was even pondering a return over Xmas (they at home Boxing Day?).
But hey, given who's conducting negotiations...
Either way I'm off to Harrogate Sat'di (day out with mates interrupted by ninety minutes of so called football) then if the deal really is off there's always Notts...

A mate raised the idea of putting on a mini-bus next week and I said I’d go along but there was literally zero uptake from any other of our group of friends. I think we filled a 16 seater a year ago even if only half made the game.

-I know nowt about these rumours, mainly 'cos I'm so demotivated I can't be assed to ask questions. One thing I will say though. Any consortium that is thinking of asking fans to chip in will get short shrift from me if they also stipulate that the same fans can't have full disclosure of the historical accounts. The thought of Carson skipping off up Whitt Moor into the sunset with a non disclosure agreement under his arm makes me want to puke.

One would assume that it still requires a substantial investment to take over and keep things going, one could assume that those concerned may be having difficulty in raising funds and have perhaps found that relatively wealthy town fans when approached for investment are not that enthusiastic !
One could assume its not looking great.
All pure assumption of course

If one can assume that negotiations are continuing after something like 4 weeks following the initial statements to that effect is it not right for one to assume that some common ground must have been found in that time?
If one can assume that then why should one assume it's not looking great?
Should one not assume that amongst the first things to have been agreed upon and disclosed is a ball park price and proof of funding in order to allow more in depth negotiation to continue?

All quite possible, the Devil will be in the detail, like everyone I hope for a take over by genuine well funded buyers.
*Turning good intentions and pledges into cold hard cash to take over a basket case of a club will be a great achievement even more so when the full extent of the required investment becomes clear.
