What a superb way of clinching The Title. Full house, resounding win and playing some good stuff.
So, leading on to next season.
From what I saw on Saturday, I believe we have the squad to get on well in L2. Of course there will be a few additional players brought in and a few moving on, but we definitely have more than just a good spine of a team.
I was always unsure how versatile the defence could be, whether they could adapt to a more defensive approach but also go up the other end and score. Well, Saturday answered that for me with the shut out of Boreham Wood.
Jones has been unbelievable this season and his stats also confirm what an important player he is for keeping the defence tight.
Obviously, up top hasn't been a problem with the goal haul of Grigg and other players more than chipping in. The attacking play and chances we created have been top draw.
IMO, with a decent pre season and not to many changes in or out, we should carry this momentum in to League 2 and have another cracker of a season.

Plenty of local games
Back in the League Cup
Don't have to qualify for the FA Cup anymore
Record ST sales incoming

Plenty to get excited about.

We have so much momentum and support behind us, I hope the club capitalise and invest so we can build on it and maintain the big crowds, feel good factors and general buzz around the town, not just the club.

On the pitch - we all know the areas we need to strengthen, and I trust Cook will be on with that already.

We have a good side - probably 3/4 additions needed in my opinion depending on our ambitions.

Bring it on - looking forward to renewing rivalries with Doncaster, Crewe, Bradford, Port Vale, etc rather than having to get stuck into battles with your Solihull, Bromley and Ebbsfleets of the world.

I'm being greedy but hoping some interesting Pre Season games - maybe even a tour somewhere outside of England!

Yes, it will be great to be playing against proper clubs again, which bring decent supports.
These go to eleven.

Mandy's comments on his interview were interesting.

For those who missed it: He commented on the Social Media comments of "We Need A New Back Four"

Added to the comments from Webby and even Cookie over the season, the posts do get back to them and whether they are Wind ups, Sarcasm or other, they are not interpreted that way to them.

Yes, now we are over the line, I feel it would be disrespectful to comment on who we should not resign and who we should look to offer away. Let’s all bask in the warmth glow of what the players have achieved.

10/1 with skybet. Worth a punt I reckon with improvements to the squad to be made..

I don't want to get too far ahead of myself but Kieron Dyer says the club had a meeting at the end of October to discuss next season with League Two in mind and that players have been identified. Although sustainability and gradual progress are the watchwords, I do get the feeling that we could be on the cusp of something special.

10-1 but with a couple of quality signings - very feasible and those odds could shorten.

Just had a fiver on that.
We’re 5/2 to be promoted and had a fiver on that, and will keep nibbling all summer.
And 10/11 for a top Seven finish..
All at Skybet

I’ll wait for Ladbrokes and Bet365 to open markets. Don’t think we will get any shorter any time soon.

Two landmarks for the summer: first, the L2 fixture list being released then second, seeing 'Football League' on that 'next game' sign outside ours'...
