I'm not sure if he's out of contract, but I tend to agree with you on this one. He's worth a little longer to see if he can strengthen up and develop at very little cost.

I think we will be casting a glance at the Blunts cast offs this time.(Youngsters I mean)
God I hate this league.

If we start signing crappy Sheff Utd rejects, I'm supporting Matlock. End of. We're Chesterfield FC, not a Sheff Utd sh*t player dumping ground. Still can't believe we offered Dimaio a 2 year contract, I don't know what people see in him.

Being charitable O'Neil did show signs of improvement before injury, though a lack of pace will always hamper him. Meanwhile we can only wonder how Martinez will work out given his games-per-season ratio - and he was recommended by Evatt, wasn't he?

But yeah, Saunders will go down as a disaster on pretty much every level.

On the other hand Wilson is a steady if unspectacular manager who'll probably build a side in that image.

I've faith he has the contacts and ability to deliver stability.

O'Neil is never a right back, I think he will be useful if we play him in his natural position as a defensive midfielder. Hes way better than Liddle though thats for sure. Shame hes injured.

Personally I haven't been impressed with o'neil in midfield and would much prefer Liddle of the two.

From memory O'Neil's best game for us came at right back.

He's played a few in there. FYI I'm not one of the many fans that have wrote him off either. I've said before there is something there that's worth more time. Many times in a player's second season you start to see the true player; plus it's not been an easy season for a young ex-prem youngster to join and find any form.

Does anybody actually see us challenging for top 6 next season? Because I sure as hell don't.

After the tortures of this season, a season of mid table mediocrity doesn't seem so bad at all

A good few have said it on the clubs social media sites. I know some were sarcasm, but some weren't.
