Just over 4000 from Chesterfield

That leaves around 2000 empty spaces

I'm afraid there were more than 4000 Chesterfield fans there tonight - final answer

It looked like it. No room to chuffin move on the Kop, came in at quarter past to find my usual spot taken and the only way I could get round was to go left and edge my way up at half time. There must've been 4,500 at least!

I was on the right of the kop and there was plenty of room, I've known it much more packed.

Yep, i was over that way and plenty of room despite plenty standing in the aisle down that side giving the impression it was packed. Also looked to be plenty of seats spare in Compton Street as well.

Agreed, plus there were also plenty of empty seats on compton, it was a lot fuller than normal but people tend to sit with gaps between them and people they don't know so it looks fuller than it is.

The thing with the kop is that people near the middle think it's packed as that's the point many people head for, and less people stand towards the sides.

I thought the attendance was odd as I know the kop wasnt packed and their was few seats on the compton but the main stand was full and the cross street was jam packed,so how do you get 2200 more into the ground where would they all go?

1000 empty seats. Kop would have been 1200+ short of capacity.

<_< Just over 4300 Spireites. With that performance and a good win at the Shrews---will that start to bring in +4k crowds for future home games?
Many a good tune
