That leaves around 2000 empty spaces
I'm afraid there were more than 4000 Chesterfield fans there tonight - final answer

I was on the right of the kop and there was plenty of room, I've known it much more packed.

Yep, i was over that way and plenty of room despite plenty standing in the aisle down that side giving the impression it was packed. Also looked to be plenty of seats spare in Compton Street as well.

Agreed, plus there were also plenty of empty seats on compton, it was a lot fuller than normal but people tend to sit with gaps between them and people they don't know so it looks fuller than it is.

The thing with the kop is that people near the middle think it's packed as that's the point many people head for, and less people stand towards the sides.

1000 empty seats. Kop would have been 1200+ short of capacity.

Just over 4300 Spireites. With that performance and a good win at the Shrews---will that start to bring in +4k crowds for future home games?
