If you are referring to the bottle shape thing....they've now revealed their new kit with the normal badge on the front and the bottle shape thing that apparently represents a kiln is an icon on the back of the neck and a watermark in the stripes not a new badge\crest!

I kinda (eventually) came to that conclusion.
That they are decent defenders but playing to the managers set of tactics.
The proof will be in tbe pudding if a different set of tactics can be implemented without us shipping goals

To be fair we sort of did that already as mentioned by someone else....we played tighter against two League 1 sides aaway with two wins and two clean sheets then took a half decent Championship side all the way before finally conceding in the last 10/15mins.

Sorry, but that?s a load of hog wash. Tactics are the structure by which the team plays, the team has to successfully deploy those tactics which means it?s reliant upon the skills and decisions of the players on the pitch for 90 minutes. The argument here is a simple one, that we are more likely to face a better standard of opposition in league two than we were in the National League, both defensively and offensively. Therefore, without any change, it is likely that our goals scored will be reduced and our goals conceded increased- with hopefully obvious implications. Whilst we?ve changed potentially some of the attacking options in the team, we have not changed any of the defensive options.

This isn?t something new, the management know that we need to improve our defence,, and have stated this in interviews, so I?m not sure why people are getting a little bit upset when this is pointed out. After all, this discussion was sparked by somebody stating that the management team didn?t know what they were doing..

Could be wrong but fairly sure they have also stated in the interview that they know they cant be as open in how they play in League 2 compared to the just out score teams approach in the NL. Improving the defence is not just a case of adding new players but can be done by changing tactically how we play to give the centre backs more protection both from the full backs sitting in a bit more and the central midfielders giving them more cover in front.

parking & pubs pre match was fine, the problems arose around the ground, no signage for different stands & the stewards didnt know either. as you say the vast majority seemed to be on the night hire with a few sunderland regulars overseeing.
afterwards it was fine, stright out, back to the car park & away.

think every tour will be his last but as next year is 50th anniversary for uk i think weve got one more go at least.

For some reason despite it being a ground that regularly deals with crowds of a similar size they opted against using the turnstile numbering etc and had all the silly colour names gates and entrances which just complicated matters. We knew where we were going based on the turnstile number as we sat in a similar place for the Wednesday game the other Saturday but I can see why folk not familiar with the place had hard work getting in.
