Hope Town are getting a decent pay day and aren't liable for cop costs...

And though understandable in a way, crazy no one can go who wasn’t before!

Hopefully Oldham don't wreck the ground when defeat confirms another season in the National League.
Bearing in mind we have a sell out on Saturday.

I’m more staggered that the rozzers have agreed to it.

There's no rule that says "fans" have to turn up and have a scrap. Apart from the people that live near the ground or shoppers at Tesco there's no reason why anybody from Chesterfield should be in the vicinity on Thursday afternoon. What would really be ridiculous would be to run it past the hooligans before deciding where and when the game should be played.

Given how their fans and some of their officials behaved earlier in the season, I'm surprised we're comfortable hosting them again.
If some of our lot decide to turn up before the game, it's a potential problem that could have been avoided.

It's unbelievable given events earlier on in the season. Who is paying policing costs.

I’m sure Chesterfield will be charging expenses for stewarding, policing inside the ground and other sundries while taking the profit from concourse sales.
Hopefully the Oldham fans will leave some seats in place and go easy on the pyrotechnics as they’ll be full of respect for us for hosting them
Does beg the question who pays for the place outside the ground - hopefully the National League

If Halifax win on Tuesday night, a lot of the Oldham lot what bother turning up, which will be good for us.

It's the short notice of it that'll cause real problems.
For instance, such as the 'DD' will've sold tables on Thursday only to now be faced with two sets of away fans turning up. Do they hire security? Who pays? What about ordinary punters not expecting a match?
Who pays for policing around the ground? In Town? Potentially three groups of characters facing up?
Will the Halifax fans presumably designated the home areas respect our stadium? Will there be examples of mindless and possibly costly vandalism?
Our ability to host games such as this is something to be proud of. A huge compliment for Chesterfield FC. I just hope it doesn't end up hitting the Club and local businesses in the pocket, though...

I'm sure any expenses incurred by the club for any damage and remedial costs will be fully refunded by the league, surely there's a clause in the contract stating that.
