Steve Kirkwood a lifelong Spireite has sadly passed away aged 65.
I worked with Steve at Chesterfield Transport many years ago, he was a really decent bloke.
My thoughts and sincere condolences are with his family and friends.

Steve was the most wonderful man you’d ever meet. I was privileged to work with him for many years at Tibshelf. He was loved by everyone and will be sadly missed. God bless you Steve and sincere condolences to all your family. Special man always in my thoughts.

He still had a lot to do with the school, I’ll screenshot the messages on here and pass them to his family, as I work with his cousin
They were all there for the match at the weekend and for the 65th minute applause, they all said it was lovely and very moving.

I was talking to Mr (Lyndsay) Tideswell at the game Saturday and he said how much of a shock it was.
East stand second class citizen.

Yes the teachers were in bits to be honest, my daughter is there now and the P.E teacher broke down during lesson as she was so upset. He was a brilliant bloke by all accounts it’s so sad
