My source tells me Monsieur Boco is seeking 250% of his Accrington wages after CFC had offered 150% - shows how barmy agents can be!

You do realise now if he signs people will automatically assume and class him as being on top dollar, god help him if he doesn't set off being in the team of the week every week for the first month we will get not worth his wage and there are better out there for the money

How is Walter?

The agent is presumably arguing that there is big competition for his signature. He's bluffing. He's probably worth £1.6k a week though with bonuses. That's a good compromise.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

if we don't want to pay 2k a week for him then Cook obviously doesn't rate him that highly does he?

I wouldn't say that's the issue. The guy's been at Accrington - we'll be offering him a decent chunk on top. If he's not willing to play ball within our wage structure then he can go elsewhere.

I would call it GREED.....after all, he aint' going up a Division (until end of season), so expecting more than double your wages is just GREEDY.

(I may try it on my boss on Tuesday)

What he's earning at Accrington is irrelevant as far as I'm concerned.

What we should be considering is, can he make the step up to perform in a promotion chasing side, what could he potentially bring to our starting 11 & would he be one of our better players? Finally, where does a player of his calibre fit into our payscale?

I bet Cookie was on peanuts at Accrington as well, especially compared to his contract here.
