So you would probably use the entire playing budget on one player then which seems a bit strange considering the opinion is we are short on players all ready

He is a young Championship reserve player with hardly any first team football experience. I would not pay over 30K, but after 2 years with us I would expect to get £250K

A minimal fee say around 20-25k. Though I would guess Wolves would want a substantial sell-on clause plus other bits and bobs.

Well if we agreed a fee for him on deadline day only for Hoddle to pull out presumably we can still afford whatever it was we offered as we have a reduced wage budget at this point in time and the Evvo fee?

Id say Roy would pay up to 75k for him but it sounds as if the player in question may be Craig Disley! another anti-climax if true, im no manager but surely we need better players than him if we are to compete in this league.

I'd get him on a season long loan then sign him for free at the end of it! :P

I'm sure Hoddle is stupid enough to fall for that age old trick.

30 - 50k.

Although he made a difference last season, he is still young and untested - Wolves cant expect any more than that for him, even though he has talent.

Id pay a max of £50k and accept that Wolves would want a few add ons and sell on clauses. Admitidly he is an outstanding prospect, but can`t the same be said of Tony Brien, £90k from Liecester the after one decent season he just fell away.
