Love a completely out of the blue signing. Could be very smart business this.

It’s not out of the blue, it’s into the blue!

I was thinking about new grounds for next season and it got me thinking about FL teams I have never seen us play.

Quite a few in fairness (new grounds for me next season are Barrow and Colchester but have seen us play them both at home and Col U at Layer Rd)

I had got the list I personally had never seen us play down to - Liverpool, Arsenal, Palace, Spurs, Everton, Norwich, Villa, Newcastle, Leicester, Southampton, Sunderland, Blackburn & Birmingham I think were the ones I had. No idea how long it has been since we last played any of these

We had the famous 3-3 away draw at Liverpool in the League Cup early 1990’s and a 0-0 or 0-1 at home to Blackburn in the FA Cup-1980’s. Derek Dougan playing up front for them that day.

I’ve just seen Ronaldo and Messi walking round Tesco, I will tell them not to bother😉

They were both at the tip at Darley Dale earlier today too!

    Local and out of contract.
Also see Clucas, Cooper & Morsy

If Spireites’ advice to Cook is to sign a load of 30 years old plus players heading towards a final pay day, we will finish up with the oldest squad in the Football League. That will be a disaster.

Yes we can use 5 out of 7 but, in reality, I think that’s more like 5 out of 6 outfield players as most likely we’ll have a keeper on the bench.

Any road up, injuries in the latter part of season serve to point out the necessity to have sufficient cover in one of the most important areas of Cooks set up. As such, I think there is room for Banks and another.

He’s made it clear in the post-match interview that the only place he wants to be next season is here. I hope he will be.
