just read on Twitter that the kop drummer has packed in. Is that good or bad?

No he hasn't, that's someone seeing something on facebook and making assumptions. All Yogi put on Facebook was a poll to find out if people thought we still needed a drummer. At no point did he say he wasn't doing it anymore.

Looks that way if you go online .... with 3 more days of selling
I'd hope for at least 5000 home fans making it 7500 plus total

4500 home fans on opening day of season will be pretty bad. Not that I can make it just imagined there'd be more, fairly big drop from last season eh

Yogi a actually said that he didn't think he was going to bring the drum anymore ( on the Fb donny match thread) which sparked some comments asking him to continue - this I presume has lead to Yogi creating the fb poll to gauge opinion.

I said I wouldn't go to any home games but this one is a bit of a tough miss as it gets closer.

It's not a tough decision for me, I'll be there. Life's to short to deprive oneself of your inherent pleasures and being a town fan the life span of being involved in a successful period (performance wise) is even more limited. Yes I am optimistic on the playing front. (Note, I said playing front)
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

My thoughts exactly. Not been to a home / competitve game since AFC Wimbledon at home in Jan but I am tempted by this one. As luck would have it it's the missus birthday so were off away for weekend. Will be at Hillsborough and County though. Away for Vale, Newport and Cov games so looks like my stay of execution from home games will rumble on anyway..

Why give money to the likes of the people in charge of Coventry yet deprive yourself of a cheaper outing at the Proact?

If your decision to stay away is to starve those in charge of your hard earned cash, then be aware Wednesday away is split gates receipts (after costs).

I respect everyone's point of view re notapennymore / DA AC but when it comes to match day it's the players on the pitch which need supporting. Once the games are over you can continue the campaign to uncover the many many wrong doings however you see fit.
On a positive note DA has sanctioned some very good signings which deserve our backing even if only on match days.

If we really want them out the team has to get promoted so it's a chichen en egg sanario.

So get yourselves down there this weekend (your TEAM needs you )

I've got free tickets via work so no moral dilemma.

While I don't believe that the minority staying away will force DA out, you make an interesting point that they could be doing the opposite and helping to prolong his tenure. I suppose it's arguable.
