Has anyone heard the really annoying Toys R Us advert on peak. OMG!! and Elton John every 5 mins, oh and the constant dead air they keep having!!!

I haven't heard it, but if it goes on as long as the famous "Let King Carpets get down on your floor" then it will be annoying. They've been using that since the station was launched in 1998. They do seem to have latched on to Elton since the announcement of his impending local concert. All that said, as independent local radio stations go, it could be worse.

My supplier has let me down. He mumbled something about Merchant Bankers and the exchange rate between the Shekel and the Dubloon.

Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.

Mark Twain

Sometimes a good quote can say it all, has anyone dared to look long enough to work out if it is a man or woman taking the picture?

The accolade for worst advert ever has got to be the Safestyle double glazing one, with the refugee from J.R.R Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings” presenter and his awful Yorkshire accent, and the grating catch phrase of “You buy one get one free, I SAID YOU BUY ONE YOU GET ONE FREE”. I reach for the remote whenever it comes on.

This thread seems to be flagging at the moment 737 posts and 37 pages, starting to look like we are hitting what marathon runners call “the wall”. Any ideas for subjects that can get it moving again?

How about has anyone seen any Xmas lights up yet, and when do you think the first ones will appear, also is it a good or bad thing that they seem to be getting earlier each year?

P.S. I’ve bought my wife’s Xmas card already, should I be ashamed? :D
