This Dallas saga all seems to hinge around any combination of his birthday / his agent / clubs his agent has hawked him around in an attempt to trigger some sort of feeding frenzy. If we are playing in that arena it remains to be seen. I'm probably wrong, usually am.

Well 22nd is his birthday, so if he ain't signed for us on that date (as I assume any deal with any club would be in place ready to sign after this length of time), that would be the end of it.

Still can't understand why he ain't played as a trialist anywhere.
If he did sign with us he'd have 2 friendlies before start of the season

Football managers always use the term "We won't bring any players in unless they improve what we have". Have we done that? I think we have. Will Grigg and Tom Naylor alone will, I think, give us that extra little bit that we were lacking last season, I also like the look of Hobson as well, we have potentially a seeling commodity in him.

We finished 3rd last season, not comfortably, but we did and the additions we have will push us on that extra 10-20%.

Suppose those in the know will already know where he's going. No point in wasting their time in giving in playing time if he's not going to them. That maybe leaves it with his destination club playing hardball with his agent over fees?

What's also strange about Dallas is if he's worth all the hype then why has no-one else just stumped up the compo, rather than risk him signing elsewhere?

It's documented he wanted to leave SM because they couldn't guarantee him efl football. Which to do that during the season makes me think he's likely to come here and start making new demands and upset the dressing room.

So on that basis I'd rather we look for someone else that's happy to play for the badge, and good luck to the lad.
