I’ve thought about learning sign

Belle can hear us with her hearing aids, so apart from the odd few custom signs and bit of signing, we’ve made it through with mostly speech.
The problem arises back in the real world where people may not understand her speech, so the signing she has done at school and now at Portland College is soooo important for her.
She has recently started going to a deaf youth club and to say I feel absolutely inadequate is an understatement! Her signing has come on leaps and bounds which is great.

Fair play to anyone that can crack signing! 😂

I’ve done the BSL level 1 and 2 but my kids have learnt at their school and are way more advanced than that

Good on ya! When I got back from our first deaf youth club my wife asked how It was? I just said “no idea”,”loads of kids waving their arms around” 😉

I miss everything about Saltergate; it was the backdrop to my youth. But I like the new Saltergate too

Me too.
I miss some old friends from Saltergate but made some great new ones at the new place. ;)

Weather looking very very dodgy for New year day's game. High winds/sleet/rain. Could be called off ?

The weather forecasting has never been the same since Bob Rust and his revolving weather cube and seaweed forecasts. I'm sure the older members of this board will remember him lol.

Wife’s Uncle, lives in London, up here for Christmas decided he wanted to go to the game. Wanted to sit in the same block as me, there was only one seat available in that block in the South stand. As I’ve got an account I booked it for him and less than 5 minutes later he had the ticket on his phone and ready to go. That was a couple of hours ago.
In this day and age the number of people without smart phones must surely be very small, the need to physically print a ticket off at home is just crazy. Who owns a PC and a Printer but not a smart phone?
Like it or not this is the future and the club can’t be held back by the few who can’t, won’t move on. It would be like them selling DVDs of the seasons highlights but doing a few copies on VHS and 1 on Betamax for those who can’t, won’t move on.

Y'kinda knew loadsa folk when we used to get three, maybe four thousand at Saltergate.

Same faces every week in the pub, at away games or where we sat/stood in the ground.

But now there's six, seven or eight thousand y'almost feel like a stranger at times.

Which is absolutely fan-tastic...

Only about 300 tickets left for tomorra. They could still release the other half of E3 to town as E2 will suffice as segregation for Soilyhulls pathetic following of a hundred or so.

I hope they do this, had to buy a couple in corner of north stand but ideally want some better seats. Such a shame we can’t sell such premium seats with such a small away following. Could at very least sell E3

Is it due to regulations about how many can be in the home area in relation to space underneath etc?

Pretty sure the segregation wasn't as big though when we played Bromley in the playoffs so they must have sold more then?
