I don't think he realises how much pain we have had to endure over the years but I'm getting tired of the occasional jibe. He wants to think himself lucky, we are angels compared to those muppets up the road.

I think he should be pressed to explain that comment a little more clearly for the avoidance of any misunderstanding. Was it the boos of a few post Newport?

Yes and it's a bit pathetic on his part to be honest, he gets fantastic support from us the fans especially away from home. The players need to lift the support just like the support need to lift the players, it's a two way thing

That comment's annoyed me actually. Wish I'd not put off going to the dump for an hour and listened to it.

The manager has largely had a honeymoon period lasting for a year and a half, longer than a good number of managers actually last in their jobs.
Fans are a bit tetchy, probably because we are at the business end of the season, a lot is riding on it and, at root, because since late September our form would only make us borderline to get into the play-offs. Crowds aren't as high as one might expect given that we are in an automatic promotion place with 4 games to go, which won't just be because the novelty of the new ground has worn off a little for the floating fans. I appreciate the principle of what we are trying to achieve here, but it won't stop me (and it shouldn't stop anyone) from being constructively critical if I take issue with decisions, tactics etc etc.
If Mr Cook is starting to get his bum in his hands because that honeymoon period may be starting to wear off a bit, it's a shame, but I don't expect to lose any sleep over it.

I agree with all of that. I dunno, maybe with a microphone under your nose things come out sometimes that you'd rather hadn't or they get misconstrued.

He's feeling a bit of pressure, as we all are - he wants to protect the players - maybe it doesn't come out exactly as intended.

If you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen, it works both ways doesn't it?
Be careful of what you wish for. Is the old saying isn't it.

Don't suppose we will know, but I wonder if it is what is said to him say in the lounges, behind the dugout, while he is out and about the town, or what's written on here?
Personally, I would have thought the time for him to be critical is WHEN we have promotion in the bag, and not whilst we have all to play for.
Once we have achieved that, he can tell us to stick it up our jacksy, I won't care; we will be back where we belong, Cookie and the players, the whole squad, will have been fantastic all season long
