As bad as it looks and as bad as the last 2 performances have been, we still wont go down. Doncaster are down with Crewe and Cochester who will be followed no doubt by Blackpool who I don't see amassing more than 49 points.

Every game will now be a cup final, every goal a bonus, and the sigh of relief when we finally get to safety will be heard for miles.
I think our game in hand over Blackpool will be the Tuesday night game versus Donny, can the people at the club do whatever offer it takes to get the ground full for this one, could be the night that gets the after game party started.

good post, i think it will be very tight and inevitably there will be ups and downs between now and the end, Monday's defeat was a bad bad result but it can change quickly, a win on saturday and we'll breathe much easier. we are where we deserve to be this season and when you look at us we've tended to have mini decent runs followed by mini bad runs, currently no win in 4, no goals in 2 and actually no shots in 2, you would hope that at some point this will turn again in our favour.

I think there are a few more twist and turns yet. Blackpool must be feeling a lot happier than they were two weeks ago, since when they have won two away and one at home. They now have two successive home matches, Southend and then Colchester. I am sure their less cynical fans will be saying that two wins are quite possible from those games. Then they will be on 48 points with four to play.

We so need to win on Saturday.

Having seen that yesterday I am seriously concerned we will go down. To many out there who don't look anywhere near up for the scrap. No passion. No flair. No creativity. No chance.

Further to the above, a look back a year ago tells us just how difficult it is to forecast the bottom four:

Colchester Utd P38 Points 38 - second from bottom - Finished 52 points sixth from bottom

Leyton Orient P 39 Points 45- eighth from bottom - Finished 49 points second from bottom

That's what worries me too. I don't mind that some of the players don't have the skill I would like to see - unfortunately most of them don't seem to have the heart for a relegation battle either which is unforgiveable as far as I'm concerned.

We have every chance of going down. It is 50/50 and anything can happen

Pretty sure they didn't go to Oldham either :P
(Although even if they'd listened to Sky Sports News the odds would be shorter....)

Maybe so but if they been at Scunthorpe, where we could easily have won at a side that hit Swindon for six?

Agreed, anything can happen. We are in no sort of form at the moment (winning or losing). We will loose a few more games before the season is over and we will win a few.

My major concern is next season if we do stay up!! Can only see us been nailed on relegation fodder.

Worryingly I do think we might go down. The Oldham and Fleetwood performances were depressing and can't give anyone much hope for an immediate upturn in our fortunes. Perhaps more worryingly though is the seeming lack of a medium to long term vision for the Club's future. If we do happen to go down we're back to square one again. I'd really like the club to be more explicit about its future plans. For a starter, is DW in the club's thoughts beyond the end of the season? I believe he should be but I can't recall anyone stating the length of his contract.

Did you go Gillingham, Southend, Scunthorpe, things can change. The team has more potential than our last two games. all the games have been close and things could go either way.

Our performance at Oldham was abysmal , I can take losing but to not compete and fight is inexcusable plus we don't win at home , we couldn't even beat a team below us in our last home game , we are in the serious shît.

If we do stay up and I think we will, do you expect to see the same faces next season, I don't!
