Taxi From Sheffield?

Hotel prices up there are ridiculous now and so looking into the possibility of staying in Chesterfield and getting a taxi back early hours of Sunday Morning, anyone have a rough idea of the price I'd be looking at?
Thanks in advance

Whereas we once went to a gig at the Picture House Social Club on Abbeydale Rd near the city centre last year and as we ended up missing the last train we booked one via the City Taxis Sheffield app and ended up paying £16 from there to Chesterfield town centre. That said coming back from Sheffield can be a bit of a lottery depending on the driver. Few times we've ended up with drivers who would only drop in Chesterfield town centre and that was that.
Thinking about it one option could be to use Uber signing up as a new user and you will probably get some money on your account that will be used towards what you pay.

I've been offered a free £20 fare by Barclaycard as an inducement to use Uber but the idea doesn't appeal.

Also used "Lyft" in New York which is the same thing but that time we used an option where we shared half the journey with another couple who were going past where we wanted picking up and being dropped off on the way to our destination. Made a massive difference to the overall fare plus we had a code from the hotel to get some money off so we got all the way over to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey from the other side of New York for next to nothing instead of about £40

Tbh you should get a decent hotel room, at an ibis type place for £35-£40 in the city centre with breakfast included, which should work out as cheap if you've got to get a taxi from chesterfield to Sheffield in the first place?

It used to be a hassle to get one to agree to £20 a few years ago when I did it regularly. Can't see it being much fun now trying to get it.

That's good.
I've just downloaded the Uber app after being bribed with the first ride free (£20 max) from Barclaycard.
Having a quick look at the app it doesn't seem to be overly cheap unless you're going a fair way. The cheapest of the two prices that comes up from here to Boza (just over seven miles) is £16 something, yet Derby is only just over double for a journey of around four times the distance.
Want to get me free twenty quids worth

Just book an Uber from Sheffield (will give you probable price before booking which normally is cheaper after the journey anyway).
The driver doesn't know where the passenger is going until passenger is in the vehicle anyway so he/she wouldn't have a problem driving to Chesterfield!
