It was based on the number of Man of the Match Awards, with the majority of the MOTM nominations being made by ex-professional footballers, so I think their views are reasonably valid.

Thanks for responding, but I didnt expect you to play the ex pro card: I still stand by my take that he has been no where near the level of at least 6-7 others and to receive more MOTMs than Naylor is mind boggling.

Apart from the fact banks had a period in the season where he was simply outstanding and running the show, yes he lacks consistemtly but he had a lengthy period where he could have won mom every game, Naylor thoroughly deserved it a simple choice as he is best player in the league.

Banks was sensational from October to January, which is basically the period where we took the league away from any of the other ‘contenders’
