After a couple of successive relegations Lowgates Sports are rebuilding in Division 7 but as has been our problem over those last two dark seasons, we need a keeper.

A succession of the lads have taken it in turns to go between the sticks for a few games to varying degrees of success but we really could do with a permanent keeper.

Back end of last season we picked up one of the monthly VK awards for winning 3 out of 4 and actually finished the season with 4 wins out of 6, the two defeats were down to one game being after a team all dayer in Brampton then town and the other game was because we were all in Blackpool for one of the lads birthdays so couldn't make the fixture. If we'd been sober/around for those games who knows if we'd have done the impossible and stayed up but with a decent end to last season and a bit more quality added to the side pre season it would be nice to add a decent keeper and have a crack at leaving the division by the good way instead of the bad way we have for the last two years.

We've signed a number of new players from other teams already and things certainly look a lot better than they did at the end of last season where the die hards were contemplating folding the team due to a lack of players and keeper most weeks that caused us to drop through the divisions after initially rising through the lower divisions to get to Division 4.

We've had the odd keeper that was past it or too young and lacked confidence so if the impossible is possible and their happens to be a decent keeper out there who fancies playing week in week out in the Sunday League let me know.

I know this is a long shot as finding good enough keepers for our level is like finding rocking horse sh@t but i thought i'd give it a go.

As you can see from the last team photo taken in Magaluf, our search for a keeper reached new heights when we tried to recruit a couple of stunners. Better legs than our last keeper, but couldn't catch for toffee....
