What I can't understand is people seem more angry about the post office scandal than the blood scandal. Which is born out on this board. Three pages on the post office scandal and a handful of posts concerning the blood scandal. A few postal workers lost Thier freedom for a while which is awful but 3000+ people lost Thier lives through the contaminated blood products

Kier Starmer laid the blame fairly and squarely on the NHS today.

Absolutely, very lucky lady, especially based on her performance today. I imagine the next two days could be quite explosive normally...

She said first thing that she didn't realise that the CPS weren't involved in the prosecution process. This is crucial cos it meant that PO lawyers didn't have their bad practices, habits, and lies vetted by anybody. It took her 4 years to cotton on. Not a good start.

I read that as "how can I deflect blame from my first statement".

AS CEO she is responsible. That's why they get the big bucks. No squirming, accept responsibility and be honourable. Religious my backside, the Church would never condone passing the buck like this...

Yes they would. They would also hide the truth, just like they have for decades over the child sex scandal. Don't be so naive
