Thanks JD for inviting me into your office for a cup of tea and a chat many years ago after I wrote a critical letter to the DT. A thoroughly decent and honourable man, who in latter years, with our demise into the Non League Abyss, at last started to get the total recognition he deserved for not only the FA cup run and two promotions but on keeping the club ticking over, at times on a shoe string.
A true Spireite legend who IMHO, is deserving of some permanent recognition from the club.

RIP to a man who the club owes its very existence to following him accepting the deal as a major creditor and allowing the the exit from Admin.
There there is the small matter of the promotion, the cup run and massively punching above our weight on a shoestring budget.
The football world is certainly worse off without him in it.
