That's the team for the last game against them. What a rotten set of players. I doubt Pep would keep that lot up in the division these days. You were allowed 5 subs, we just didn't bother.

Got a couple of friends who are Leyton Orient fans and they hate Chesterfield with a passion. Goes back to 2000s and the Darren Brown era. They seem to think we cheated them out of promotion and have never let it go all those years later.

Barry H was one of the main owners who pushed very hard for us to be expelled from the league

How on earth did that lot, along with the manager, coaches and admin staff come to a total of £3.3M for their wages?

Like I said a right bunch of weirdos, there was a guy who used to run there fanzine and he spent a bit of time on TV around Soccer AM, Helen Chamberlain and Tim Lovejoy, and he didn’t have a good word to say about us at all, in fact you could argue it was obsessive.

I think I'll go for the pool ball in a football sock approach with this lot.

Back in the bad old football violence days of the early 70's I remember someone I knew very well bringing a football sock from home and stealing a pool ball pre-match from the Sun Inn on West Bars with the premeditated intention of doing Oldham fans some damage with it. After not having the opportunity to use it pre-match he got impatient and during the second half he decided to throw it ( minus the sock ) from the kop at the Oldham keeper. Fortunately it was a lousy throw and missed him by a considerable distance.
Just imagine the sanctions against the club if that was to happen today!

On one of their gormless thread(s) there was actually an interesting post hinting about bad blood between Martin Ling and Danny Webb.

Any idea what that was about - got the idea it was around the time when they had the mad Italian connection

They might have a point if they’d finished 4th that season but they didn’t.

Would any of these get on the bench even in a FA Cup game, I think not.

The vitriol is coming back at us, because we are doing well. Like back in the Darren Brown days when all and sundry were baying for us to be kicked out of the league.

Long may it continue, I don't give a flying fig if people don't like us.

You have to remember they had faced a barrage of coins, darts, billiard balls and oversized sofas so they numbers had been diminished
