Whilst not a Brexiteer by any means, you have to remember this is an opinion piece and not a fact.

Goldmans will have a vested interest in talking down a market, whilst talking up another. It’s how they make lots of money.

The report's in the past tense, though.

Narrating what has happened to the UK economy, not seeking to influence what will...

It is the past tense but it talks of “could have”.

Not seeking to influence…? “Worst still to come”….. it’s an opinion piece with the exact aim of influencing asset allocation away from the U.K. It’s how the sell side works. Talk down one, talk up another.

Don’t get me wrong I think the vote to leave was a huge mistake but like whatever source there’s always an angle/slant/bias.

The EU farmers input would be welcome on here, they’re not exactly enjoyed life under the Unions blanket at the moment.
I’d imagine if any other countries put the electorate to the vote then the union would be on the point of collapse!

Interesting.

This mob have vandalised property, attacked police, started fires, closed down streets - possibly preventing ambulances attending urgent call outs or hospital appointments - and are seeking to intimidate democratically elected leaders. In fact everything and much, much more that, say, JSO or Palestinian peace protestors have been condemned for.

Yet they're being all but championed, here.

And protesting against cheap, sub-standard imports? In other words exactly the sorta stuff our government are signing deals to import.

Oh, and for the record, polls show there's little public support for the supposed domino effect scammers insisted Brexit would trigger. Whilst Ukraine are desperate to join...

Who’s championing them here? I’m merely pointing out that they’re pretty pi..ed off with the EU! So of course the EU are championing cheap substandard imports as well then? Never!
I doubt there little public support for Frexit or Gexit. What did the polls show here pre Ballot?

Just read an article in the Telegraph - so wont post the link as behind a paywall - about the Olympics in France this summer. Apparently as well as issues with bed bugs, they have a rat problem because the rubbish collectors were on strike, they have issues with the public transport system, needs money spending to make it more reliable and they need more drivers, they are telling locals to work from home whilst olympics on as system wont cope, they have a homeless issue in Paris, and obviously rents are going through the roof because of the event - and the farmers are mutinying as they are fed up of being told how wide the hedge must be and various other rules...

Did they leave the EU then? as those problems sound remarkably similar to ours.... Maybe its a worldwide thing and not really down to the EU?

So the Scammer promised deal with the 'States is nowhere.

The Canadian one touted by Badenoch little more than a lie.

The India one glacial in it's progress.

The one with Aus' has yet to see a single beef joint exported there whilst ton after ton of theirs' arrives here.

And now... https://www.politico...pe-middle-east/

Remembering those who insisted the world would be falling over itself to do post Brexit trade with us have recently passed a law preventing Middle Eastern money investing in Fleet Street, too.

Oh, and PS: taking back control... https://news.sky.com...lished-13099358

Wrong way round surely?

Shouldn't it be for those who championed the economic nonsense that is Brexit to share the secrets of how it's benefitting us? Rather than for those of us who had concerns about post Brexit prices rising to say that prices have risen post Brexit, as an example.

The results of democracy after being repeatedly lied to and after a campaign funded by Russian money that was misinformation at best to prey on the weak minded and xenophobic, how does that sit with you?

How have you calculated that you are neither better or worse off? What measures have you used that enable you to come to that conclusion?
