Woah! a signing, and a pretty useful one at that, what makes it even more pleasing is that we beat off teams who probably offered him better deals.! :P

I think this is a very good coup by McFarland. Hall is very highly rated in this league. Tranmere (who finshd third!) offered him a new deal, and he made almost 50 appearances for them last season.

As mensioned, it's also pleasing to see we beat off competition. I believe Bristol City, Brentford and Walsall were all interested.

A big well done to Roy for grabbing him.

The question is though, where do we play him?! He's traditionally a right winger. Do we move Allott in to the middle (where I think he plays better anyway) and Hall on the right? And Roy said he wanted a center midfielder too. Does that mean someone is going to lose their place, or will the new CM be used as cover? Hmm...

There you go. A bit of good news and all it needed was a bit of patience! Who'd have though it? Roy WAS trying to do some business, even though he wasn't shooting his mouth off about it. All the way from Spain too!

Whats wrong with waiting if further signings are of the quality of Hall?

Absolutely, I'd assumed with the interest in PH that we wouldn't have a chance at all.

Stunned, well done Roy!!!!!!

We should know by now that Roy works quietly with his signings and he's not one for signing just anyone. He knows what he's after and we should have faith in him. How many times have I said that lately?? Well done to Roy!!

Has to be a sign of how well respected Roy is in the game... as soon as i heard that Walsall, Bristol city and Brentford were interested, id almost given up hope of getting the player.... so a big well done to the Big Mac!!!

Good signing.

I'm sure Roy has his eye on others including a centre half, a goal keeper and central midfielder.

All these signings will be crucial as it is the spine of the team and will therefore probably take a little while. We should all be patient and await the outcome of all the on-going deliberations.

Am well pleased with Hall coming on board. Like others have said if several other clubs were indeed chasing him Roy has done a fantastic job in terms of getting him here. He scored 13 goals for Tranmere last season alone which would have made him our leading scorer by a distance!!!

WELL DONE ROY!!!

The more I think about it, the more I find it hard to believe we actually got his signature. We all know about our financial constraints and that the CFC board refuse to gamble on players (rightly so IMHO) so why us?

I think its down to the respect and powers of persuasion that Roy Mac has within footy.

Well done Roy, another 3-4 like that will do nicely!
