I don't go down very often but do we sell seasonal items to keep the stock fresh? Christmas stuff with the badge on, eg - cards, stockings, tree decorations, chester teddys in a santa outfit? Look in the gift shops too when on holiday and use these as ideas - like the canvas prints someone else mentioned. Just something to sell that's different that people will buy if they pop in while they're passing. Use the local companies to supply a special spireite range exclusively for the club.

It's back to school week in about a month, have we got any stationary sets, sketch pads, pencil cases, pencil sharpeners, puma bags with the club's emblem on?

Wall stickers for kids bedrooms maybe? If you see something you like out and about, think, "how could we personalise that for the shop?"

I'm not in business so not sure how difficult it is to sort stuff like this out but trinkets for kids might keep cfc more relevant in the days they're not attending a game.
Here we go again!

The stuff on the right hand side seems to be a mix of training gear, polo tops, hoodies, etc. The usual range of stuff that you'd expect to see. Not sure exactly what you're looking for though.

When I was there in June, there wasn't a lot in aside from the new shirts but that was pretty understandable with it being the middle of summer and them wanting to make a big push on the kits. It looks like they've stocked up for the season to a decent degree if Pete's photo is anything to go by. There's always room for more interesting bits and pieces though so I'm surprised that they don't want to do business with independent folks like the artist mentioned above. Anything to get folks in to the shop, you never know what else they'll walk out with even if they think that they just came in for a print!
These pretzels are making me thirsty!

Doesn’t look very empty!!
Why didn’t you ask the staff in there? (They’d probably know more about all this than anyone on here)?!

Would you rather us spend money (basically the Kirk’s money) on tat for a shop that someone probably won’t buy or on putting players on a pitch ?

More interested in picking up Fylde and Oxford tickets. Didnt even see the new bucket hats. Disappointed and concerned to see the shelves were empty when the new season starts on Saturday.

Yes, I understand your disappointment but surely the obvious place to ask the question as to why the club shop shelves were empty was to the shop staff whilst standing in the club shop as opposed to on here a number of hours later?

Wasnt the idea to turn a profit on said tat? I'm sure that's how retail is supposed to work. How do you know it wouldn't sell?

Like I said there was plenty of shirts, but if you looked to the right of the entrance the shelves were completely empty. This is usually full of various training kits, coats etc, there was nothing. There were 3 of us who were hoping to buy something new b4 Saturday.it was unusual to see. We'll be back.

They had a delivery after Dave had been in, obviously.

You still have to fund the stock in the first place .

There were only a couple of hundred ordered but I believe virtually all the adult ones went at full price. Some of the children's ones were reduced and there are a handful of child sizes left.
