I'm after a bit of advice. My sister has recently moved back to the motherland with her husband and two children. My nephew is 6 years old and wanting to start playing football. He says he only wants to play at the Proact but I'm sure his expectations will soon be reigned in. Having moved away myself a few years ago I'm totally out of touch with youth football back home so would appreciate any input or advice that I could pass onto my sister for any decent teams where he could start playing. I played for manor rangers back in the day, I don't even know if they are still going!

Thanks.

My lad's about to turn 6 and I think he quite fancies it. I'm pretty clueless about what goes on locally.

Get in touch with Bonnyman. He's well versed in junior football and I'm sure he'll advise.

Depending on where you live there are a few good clubs in chesterfield,we Brampton rovers run a Saturday morning club at st marys starts about 9am but also Chesterfield town and Staveley do the same so go to what's convenient.

Do Somersall Rangers still exist? I did all my youth football through them and it was a cracking set up at the time.

My son has been playing with them for three years now and he is developing very nicely, the under elevens have a very good side.
