It just goes to show how some youngsters think they have a god's given right for success....Hird, Evatt & Talbot are shining examples of how a footballer should conduct themselves

You mean always being injured
Totally agree with you!

As far as Mitchell is concerned, it's fair to say he failed to live up to expectations, but not to say he didn't give a crap.

He was a lightweight playing in a lightweight team. He might have done better if we had more physicality elsewhere.

There was a short period last season when he was at wingback he showed bit of aggression and I remember a few full blooded tackles.
It soon evapourated though, too lightweight and just seemed to be the archetype academy product most of the time

Proportionally he's probably contributed to as many points as anyone else in the squad during the past year!

Paul McGinn marshalled a young defence in a friendly this summer, a couple of days later he was gone with his transfer still roaming the ether somewhere between here and Partick.
Jay Smith played a decent game against Heanor, was it next day that his career ended?
Reece Mitchell played against Belper, agreed to be mutually cancelled within 24 hours.
Add to that Brewster, who scored four in one half against Clay Cross and has been wearing Gollum's ring until he miraculously reappeared confused this week in Chorley.
Have a stinker against Luton and the curse of Handsworth Parramore could be your reward.

I'm struggling to get your drift here. Smith's and Mitchell's final games for CFC were, at best, mediocre. Are you suggesting that Jack's strategy is all to cock; that he's barking up the wrong tree?
