Only seen the lad once, and that was in the six-one hammering of Southport.

Did quite well, too. Has a real turn of pace.

Question is - are folk happy to see us continue fielding squad players? Regardless of results?

Evening.
I think we've got so many niggles we've not many options.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Ayuo, mate.

Yeah, reflecting on everything, I wonder if using the least number of players in a division we've destroyed for three quarters of the season has taken it's toll.

Would like to see us field our strongest possible eleven for the final game, though. There'd be some sorta closure in waving the National League goodbye by beating Maidenhead...

I for one am not happy with that, don't give a toss at how many say, once again,'league won,get over it'.
Left ground Monday feeling disappointed, short changed, deflated and so annoyed that the home record was gone.Cue the OTT and wet wipe comments, but the last time I felt like that was after the playoff semi game.(Obviously nothing like after last year, now that would be OTT).
After the season we have experienced I cannot understand how anyone could NOT be disappointed at the anti-climactic ending.

I think you're right. Not seen it mentioned, but was Grimes a tad ill before the game? meaning a premature call for Freckleton which was probably reflected in his performance and early withdrawal. Where were Williams and Jacobs?
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

They weren't not trying. They were bullied at dead ball plays. Cook can't play injured players.

Tha'll get no name calling from me pal, as I felt disappointed and deflated too.

But "short changed"? "Annoyed"?

Nah.

It was as team of squad players. Others leggy. Others unlikely to be here next season.

In other words understandable.

Truth is we're like a runner who's all but burned themselves out to get a winning distance in front of the field, so has to stumble over the line as a result...

Was told Grimes had been physically sick beforehand so maybe Freckletons come back was a bit rushed?
Let's win the last three and wave the pit of doom a final farewell.

The poor end to the season is all part of Cooks cunning plan for next season by tricking L2 teams to think we are not good enough to compete.

Perhaps York’s budget is bigger if you include transfer fees and not just wages, but I can’t see any side in this league having a bigger wage budget than a squad which includes Naylor, Grigg, Jacobs etc. I suppose Oldham are including Norwood’s pie budget in their figures, which inflates them significantly.

Sometimes it’s the volume of players as in York’s case. Cook always said he wanted lower numbers and more quality.

He’s giving players a final opportunity to see if they will be able to contribute next season. It’s part of next seasons planning process.
