Well as you chose to come on here discussing this - some might say defending - folk can't be blamed for seeing you as a 'mouthpiece'.

And I'll say it again - if someone can turn up at more or less any time, perhaps offer a fake name and address to do so (wonder how many James Higgins there'll be?), then what's the point?

PS: obviously you, I and others have different memories of what you said on Monday.

For god sake dont say that or 'the gang of five' will want everyone to bring photo id

It is one thing supplying an away club your details when purchasing an e-ticket by credit/debit card and another taking details from pay on the day customers just for the sake of it

I hope you make this clear to away fans before they travel

Haha

No remember it’s because of medical emergencies, I can’t see what everyone is getting worked up about

We give our details, so do away fans (Wrexham/Grimsby etc) perhaps fill in a medical questionaire in case we are allergic to paracetamol etc

Then we sit in our dedicated seat and woe betide if we take a turn for the worst we’ll be safe

That’s how I’m reading it anyway

Banning Orders will be issued for the following offences:

Inciting hatred and/or making malicious communications to the detriment of the club.
Banning Order: Three years.

This, in my opinion, explains this newly-reignited curiosity as to who is who, among the fan base. Anyone who posts criticism on here, or tweets it, or puts it on Facebook, can get ready. Who decides what is malicious, and what is detrimental? The same person who hands out the bans.

Can you imagine the state of the club had supporters turned a blind eye to all the individuals and events which have sullied the club's image?

1 - we will launched the e ticket option to away fans like we are experiencing at grounds we are visiting. Pay on the day away fans will have some details taken on a different part of the system. The casual fan that attends without a record on the system will have the option to create one or complete a form paper or online for future purchases.

2 - There will be a terminal open for sales right up until KO. No one will be
refused the right to buy a ticket. We aren’t looking at 100% in before 2:45pm.

3 - the new process is there to be trialled and tweaked accordingly. Anyone is welcome to challenge and raise feedback on the changes. There is an assumption I am a mouthpiece to these changes but i am only talking about them because i was part of a 5person team that created them. ( Paul Roberts, Lisa Smith, Steve Coe and Karen Wood are the other 4)

Well I for one thank you for the dialogue.

You need a better brainstorming team.
One is the genius who stopped ST holders being able to claim their seats prior to all seats going on general sale.
Another claimed at the AGM that he's sure that everybody can already see the vast improvement in the Academy. Can we?
I'm available.

You make no provision for ticketless latecomers, who could be several bus loads of away supporters or pensioner Joan from North Wingfield or 6 unhelpful souls who've just got tanked up in the Tup.

As mentioned above. This is an ID scheme. Simple as. I bet that this was knocked up in about 10 minutes in some god awful 'strategy' meeting entitled 'How can we stop the FA rollicking us'. The worst part is the Third Reich esque criticise the club get banned for three years which quite frankly is scandalous.

Speaking of which does the above sentence mean I'm banned now mr screen shotter?

Depends if they can match your screen id with your purchase record id

How difficult do the club wish to make purchasing a ticket? Perhaps it should be renamed the getting to know you or the sales prevention policy.

Stinks of somebody trying to stamp their authority on the club without any real thought to the bigger problems.

Yeah, I heard that, too.

But wasn't it a bit strange to quote players produced before he stuck his nose...oh, sorry, 'oversaw' things as some sort of evidence?

Happens in all poorly run organisations; people trying to justify their existence.

We’ll be having rebranding exercise next

This is a good subject to debate if you are a bit anal like me.

Ashley's lad in my opinion definitely sullied the club's image because it caused people to wonder (unreasonably) whether his perfectly innocent reputable dad (he's the Assay Master you know) was implicated, but was it malicious?

If CFC don't tell away supporters in advance that they'll be asked to supply unspecified personal data which will kept for an uncertain reason for an unknown period then I guess it'll fall to helpful supporters to do so.

With it being Barrow first up under the new 'scheme' perhaps Evo can pass the message on?

Remember our CEO is ex south yorkshire police. Not sure they have greatest reputation when policing football matches or writing witness statements.

Has anyone considered the GDPR implications in this?

At a club where there've already been allegations of folks' names mysteriously surfacing and the IT bloke being copied into or even responding to e-mails...

I won't be buying any ticket where I'm required to give my date of birth or show ID. I took our lass on a date night to the Pictures on Wednesday and all I was asked for when booking tickets on line was how many Adult tickets I wanted. No DOB required.

Well credit to her.

Because if everything we've heard of the endless hours Lesley spends at the Club is accurate at least she'll be up-front-and-centre to address everyone's issues...
