Confirmation of next season's match prices (which have been strangely absent) may well encourage more sales.

To go along with the Sky TV money and monies back for the academy and infrastructure is 2m a year as that is what Notts county got this season

You can only assume it could be a tough pill to swallow for some?

Renewed this morning. Told over 4,100 now.&nbsp;&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>Interesting that £62.33 went in VAT.
in what way?

Match day ticket, like virtually every other business selling their products in GB, is subject to 20% vat?

The as yet unsigned new agreement supposedly will give EFL League Two clubs this next season an additional £400k pa per some reports.

But that can’t be used as a factor in next seasons playing budget can it?

Whatever the figure will be, yes, no reason why not.

I thought it was based on the previous years income, hence why our superb home gates were such a factor?

That’s because the only indicator of gate income is last season’s figure. TV and PL solidarity income will be a known (eventually)

So the definite income from next season is a factor in the EFL fair play budget?

I had a quick blimp at the EFL Handbook and no wonder the EFL are descending on Chesterfield this week to clarify the requirements.

The only thing clear in my head is there are two criteria to meet for L2 clubs. Player expenditure must not exceed 50% budgeted income and 100% of Football Fortune income.

Obviously you can budget for EFL handouts( 1.1M last year) but only estimate gate receipts by making assumptions. I guess that’s where having 5000 ST holders come in handy and you can extrapolate from there.

What gets me is the Football Fortune element which if you are lucky could be significant, I.e. income that can’t be budgeted for like cup revenue, net transfer revenue, donations etc. That has to be calculated retrospectively.

The SCNPs are submitted in June and December so many elements will be unknown so it must be looking back at previous reporting periods and at the current one which will be our first year back in the EFL. Wonder how they interpret the previous reporting period where we were an NL club.

Even more reason to announce them so people know what they're what they're dealing with.

You get the feeling that, rightly or wrongly, the club will announce match day prices the minute the early bird offer ends.
