Telegraph readers poll Sunak 61 / Starmer 39.

Guess it depends who you ask...

Millions using food banks or clothes banks or heat banks or simply going without but Sunak knows their pain 'cos...

..only four channels as a kid...

Bet there are lots of people who do have sky who would also be claiming to living in poverty...I imagine there are some using food banks who have sky too...

Funny isnt it, we didnt have much as a kid, but my mates thought we must be well off as my dad worked at area offices and we lived in a newish bungalow. My dad earned less in the offices than he did at the pit but didnt have to do shifts or go underground so he took the trade. Yet when I got to uni, my friends thought we were poor as we only had one car and I'd never been abroad with my parents on holiday. Its all relative I guess...

I have had sky but binned it off now as not much time to watch TV...

Buuuut anyway, I see Sunak has not only continued digging himself into his D Day hole, but taken a JCB to it.

Y'know how he accused those criticising his exit - in other words the very vet's he left standing on the beaches they liberated eighty years ago - as "politicising" events? Well we now know he scuttled off home to take part in...a political interview.

Worse still he apologised for returning late from Normandy because...'things ran over'.

Yeah, how dare those who gave everything and assembled world dignitaries delay someone as important as him...

Not sure I've heard a vet complain, most probably couldnt give a sh1t whether he was there and would be more interested in the royalty present.

What's your view on the IFS comment about taxes for the average earner versus historical levels and the current split of tax take to higher earners and corporate? And what's your view on the Green's wealth taxes and raising NI for everyone on over ?50k to 8%? And what about the social democratic party wanting to make all tax allowances shared so that the tax burden falls on a family not an individual?

Some bold and different policies there that maybe Labour should be looking at instead of out torying the tories....? Wonder if either have any candidates in my area? Trouble is Greens want to raise all that money and then give it to the NHS to spend with no talk of any structural change to make sure its spent efficiently...

The far left wing bigots will just bang the drum that theyre just far right wing racist bigots.
It?s becoming a boring left wing bigoted response. Of course debate is futile, you can?t debate with them.

The world is tough. When times are tough we turn in and turn our backs on others, when life is better we are more generous and prepared to help...

    In my opinion...

    Cheers!
Keeping my eye out for news if the fleets get retired to have a trip on it first.
Done the 747, Dreamliner, and one of the early 737 max 8 flights when they returned to service after being grounded with the computer glitch that caused two catastrophic crashes.

I'm still getting over that I never got to do Concorde! Much prefer airbus to Boeing these days - for obvious reasons...

    Hi,
Sorry to bother you. I believe you worked for a hotel chain in London and previously had access to discount codes.
It’s a bit of a long shot and very last minute. But could you let me know if this is still the case.
I only ask as my part is due to go to London on Friday and the hotel she was booked into has canceled last minute.
    Thanks
    Andy ...

Hi. I'm a season ticket holder who unfortunately will be travelling to Gran Canaria on 8th of Jan.
Happy to get you a ticket for Chelsea if you're struggling. Regards Nigel.

Thanks for the invite - would have loved to have joined you but I am moving house tomorrow so day not in the office or in London!
Might have joined as the political conversations might have been more up my street than most on the board!

If you live in London, you're welcome to join a couple of Spireites tomorrow (Monday) evening where the main topic of conversation will be Chesterfield FC amongst other things. All very friendly. We'll be in the Williamson Tavern near St Pauls about 7.30. Sorry for the short notice.
    regards
    John
