A cynic might say this is an attempt to tie up the PL lawyers in legal work so they don?t have time to concentrate on hearings against the charges they?re facing.

It?s a message to the PL.
We have bigger and more expensive lawyers than you.

Clearly so, but it all comes down to the same question:
Should football operate as an unregulated free market?
    For me, no.

Agreed. It?s a sport, for which there are rules. Where does it end? Is only 5 subs a restraint, only 25 squad players an unfair restriction?

Moreover the FFP rules are written to save clubs from themselves, see the many failures. Albeit, they don?t work very well currently.

But loaned out for the same wage as we are paying them? Who knows! Oh well, the Kirks are paying

I should think every L2 and L1 club have at least two players out on loan.

We did pay players not on the squad at the beginning of this season just gone, Asante not given a shirt number, as well as someone else who I can?t remember who lol

It?s perfectly plausible that one or two of the players who signed extended deals during this last season did so to bring them in line with some of the more recent signings in terms of bonuses etc and presumably we?ll be looking to get some one to take them on a free rather than have to pay them up.

Thankfully, there is no in the same boat as Asante this time round.

All our players are good enough for a loan out to one club or another.
Our squad size won?t be a problem.

I?m glad you pointed that out again as the facts seem to get lost with some of these clubs people hold as shining beacons. To follow the Brentford model, you need a good model and lashings of cash.

It isn?t just about signing wisely and selling cleverly. We saw that during the breakup of the L1 Playoff team. You have to have the financial clout/desire to retain your best players and build from there. Bournemouth did exactly that but it cost millions upon millions and that?s before they started to add to the squad.

Yup. You may as well say Wrexham is a great model.. Hollywood cash galore is all you need.

Exeter do seem to be new Crewe, recruiting kids at a young age, along with other young player cast offs, and selling them for substantial fees. Can they do this because they are so far away from a Premier League club?
