How is it possible to sign ten defenders and not have a fit left back?

How is it possible to sign an entire squad and not have one controlling midfield player?

How is it possible to have 5/6 front players on the books and none of them to have a truly successful goal-scoring record in league football?

How is it possible to have 3/4 keepers on the books and only be able to argue that one of them is currently better than non-league standard (and he's not fully-fit)?

How is it possible to injure more and more of your squad before the season starts so that you are forced to seek out more and more unlikely signings every day?

How is it possible to function as a club, without a proper board, with a meddling absentee owner who says he wants to sell, a meddling CEO, an inability even to ensure a telephone system operates, and the most irritatingly, anodynely uninformative website in history?

How is it possible to demoralise loyal fans before the season even starts?

How is it possible to remain loyal to a manager who conjured two wins out of 19 games and relegation last season and has lost every even-vaguely competitive friendly this time round?

ASK CHESTERFIELD. Don't try any of the modern forms of communication though - they won't work! Twin Town Darmstadt. Why's that? So they can look at us, shake their heads sadly and say it's not rocket science is it?

By the way I like right-footed left backs, but do you? Where I've looked, Ellis Plummer is listed as right-sided or a central defender. And like Binnom-Williams he spends a lot of time out of the game ...... whole seasons.

How is it possible that you have kept your hands out of the knife drawer?

How is it possible for you to raise a laugh or, even, a smile?

Etc, etc - come on lad, brighten up, or ring the Samaritans.

Good heavens AH slides in,your viewpoint is grindingly downbeat: I wish I could offer some alleviation. Try and imagine the circumstances of the great AH himself putting on his shinguards, going into a game determined to come away with the ball in any tackle, whatever the odds.
Strewth, that's helping me already..

Not seen him yet. The thing is, if we let Dion go, we have no cover for Plummer!

In which case we may be relying on Weir who GC said was recovering from a very serious injury.

Do you think we could afford to sign Weir and get another attacking midfielder to challenge for the position and act as cover if Reed or Weir gets injured? I've just had a look for players who are out of contract on https://www.transfer...t=2017&yt0=Show and there are 5 pages of attacking midfielders, ok Wesley Sneijder was top of the list and we probably couldn't afford his wages for a week but surely we could find somebody who could do a job for us, Franck Moussa? George Green? There are loads of others on there

Just had a look at that site and there's some big names on that list. It did lose some credibility though when I saw that SEB had a value of £213,000.00 at the side of his name. 😂
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Young Hirst rumoured to be off to The Millers on loan now.

Also, Brooks has been involved in the first team squad in all 4 game so far this season so it seems he won't be allowed out on loan.

Wont be happening apparently, Wednesday expected to reject those bids and Hirst will join Rotherham on loan for the season.
