I'd put a fiver on Mark Little at Wolves.
I take it you don't mean the Aussie comedian who used to be Joe Mangel in 'Neighbours'?

This constant slating of Allott SB is getting boring. You've always had it in for him and don't know how to let go. You see all his faults and none of his attributes. Today, like for a number of others in the team was not his best but he still played a number of excellent first time balls forward as well as always being available to any team-mate in difficulty all over the park - he certainly didn't hide.
By contrast I expected more from Perkins and hope once he's been introduced to his new team-mates he will show up better as the only time I really remember him from the past he was very good.
As for Picken, he's not really let us down but it is noticeable how many teams pick him out as the weak link and today Accy's best chances were virtually all around his area of the pitch - just a good job that like Wade Small they didn't bring their shooting boots with them.

Decent shout. Puts Danny Hall even further down the pecking order than he already is. Will whoever it is be challenging for a spot at centre back or right back though? My guess would be RB unless Breckin/Page get injured.

It might do you good once in a while to admit Allott is gullible and not as brilliant as you all make out,it is fatal on here to slate him but what do i care i know what i see and i am not scared to say so either.......he was as crap as anyone on the field today,FACT.......

I fairness to you Keith, I sort of agree with you! Though I'm talking as a whole.
I thought Niven gave his all today as he knew what was coming with Perkins on the bench and it was certainly one of his better performance's.
But you surely can't deny that we'd be a far better team with someone like Perkins in the side instead??
To answer your question I wouldn't have complained if Allott was subbed, though I was hoping it was Niven as this was the side that I wanted to see as I feel it is our best. So I'm not as biased as you think I am
I also thought Donal may have made way for Perkins as he wasn't playing to well either. I was happy at Niven but it could have been Allott or Donal quite easily and Allott improve a little when Perkins came on.
Regarding Picken, wait until Shez makes his move!

No i don't today this season is the only gripe i have had with him,i would have liked to see him taken off for once instead of Niven,Niven gives his all and he is the first to be taken off,i am sticking up for him and i will tell Sheridan the same.....

The difference is that Allott can give you something else. Niven can only try hard, has very little else. He did try hard today, I'm not disputing that, but in order to try and win the game Sheridan needed to bring on a player who can not only try hard but is stronger and more in you face than Niven, who can pass and look comfortable in possession; so in that case it had to be Niven and hope that his substitute would bring more out of Allott and it did to an extent.

i will be very dissapointed if its a centre half or full back, but on the other hand i dont rate austin or hall, its a catch 22 and i feel that sheridan feels that the percentage of goals that we wont concede is greater than the ones we may score if we bring in a forward at this stage.....does that make any sense????????

Be quite a coincidence if it's Little. Made his debut for Wolves at Saltergate in 2006 in cup game.

Good post and it saved me writing it out myself.
RE: Perkins, it was difficult for him today. But he looked tenacious, eager and hard working - which may work in the 'Niven' mould, yet he comes with a reputation of being dynamic, skillful and a good passer/finisher. That's all you want from a midfielder, is it not?
I agree with a post above - if we were to nit-pick and point out weak links; I too would argue that Del and Picken fit that catagory. Neither are that poor a player, but sometimes you don't realise how much better it could be until you replace them. And it looks as though Shez is following that belief...

We've been conceding too many goals from the wider areas. Page and Breckin look solid. Take Bradford for example - all three goals had full-backs to blame for them.

JS was trying to win the game yesterday when he took off Niven, how would your view have been viewed at the end of the game if we had drawn/lost. Allott is more composed on the ball than derek, he gets the ball under control quicker and sees the pass quicker. In the end Allott is more comfortable on the ball and JS is trying to transform us into a fluid, consistent attacking team playing on the floor. Niven has his strong points but is limited and as a result as players come in he will play a more reduced part. If you want to see an improvement in performance on the field, more excitement and ultimately climbing the leagues you have to accept that players will gradually move on as the team transformes.
