Not really. On the advice that pleading not guilty would have him remanded in custody for weeks facing the prospect of a more severe sentence if found guilty. Easier to plead guilty. It's the way the system works.

Then we have Starmer operating outside his brief saying, "They will be arrested, remanded and sent to prison." Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?

His performance yesterday at PMQs when he called Sunak PM three times was cringeworthy. He was just in prosecutor mode, no passion, no fire, and no humour to make light of the mistake. Thankfully he?s being found out very quickly. Out of his depth.

Some have been incarcerated who never used racist slurs or violence. I'm shocked you don't recognise this nor show not the slightest2222 concern for them. I think you should dissect the post, it may help to question some of your dogmatic views.

It is genuinely staggering that you have the gall to call my views dogmatic after your initial post, which was essentially right wing bingo. Ally this with previous posts from yourself in this section and I daresay you are displaying a worrying lack of self-awareness (or bias). Can you share a link or two to the people who have been sent down without using racist slurs or being violent? I assume these people were just innocent lads and lasses, unfortunately in the wrong area at the wrong time who did nothing wrong, and the super biased judges + CPS are all left wing loonies?

I do like Lee Anderson and I also like the fact that you have a squad spreadsheet. No one intimidates me now that my grandfather is no longer here and I don?t quite agree on the exquisite humour part . We are all contributors here as we all have one thing in common. Perhaps 2 with a dislike of Mansfield but we do have different opinions on other matters. I?m happy to listen to all sides, I may not agree with someone?s choice of a good place to eat in Chesterfield or I don?t share someone?s taste in music in the what are you listening to right now section. But that doesn?t make their opinion wrong or mine anymore right. It is the personal section but shouldn?t be the get personal section where we belittle someone for holding a different view. I do read your post Goku that was my feeble attempt at humour and I respect your opinion even though I may not share it, by the way what are you listening to now? Oh wrong thread

It's all good fun PW, although liking Lee Anderson is a sin punishable by severe and continued mockery I'm afraid, on account of him being the dictionary definition of a dolt (and the fact he's a grifter on his 3rd political party).

He really should have tried to, y'know, actually fight against that verdict but no, he instead admitted causing harassment, alarm or distress that was racially aggravated, no doubt based upon the advice of his solicitor because, presumably, he was caught bang to rights. So not quite the absolute gold you're looking for, but nice attempt, keep trying and you might find something :)

Dunno why you're bringing up the fella who broke a copper's nose, a TV station deciding to give him an interview is up to their discretion and was off the back of him being unjustly (in some people's eyes) being booted in the face and having his head stamped on, so not overly surprising that TV stations wanted to interview him to get clicks and views.

Just to put your wet behind the ears view of the British legal system into perspective, how about this fella pleading guilty to something he didn?t do.

It appears sexually assaulting kids whilst in a position of trust gets you a suspended prison sentence as opposed to telling the cops they?re not English anymore which sticks you inside for 6 months.

And before any apologists pipe up, it?s the context of the article not the suspects potential skin colour that?s is being referenced 👍🏻

The great Tony Blair, yesterday admitting there's been a catastrophic affect on local communities, from mass uncontrolled immigration. And I quote: "if I'd have been in power, I'd have been all over it". The institutional elite now far right bigots.... according to certain posters.

Five times actually. A weak, insipid and now we know, a duplicitious man about to sentence thousands more pensioners to an early grave. The Labour Party are no longer the party of the working class.

To paraphrase Orwell, "and the pigs who had written on the barn door, 'four legs good, two legs bad' and 'everyone is equal' put down their knives and forks and walked out of the Manor House on their hind legs. Meanwhile Mollie the mare, who had toiled pulling the plough until her bones ached, lay down in the freezing barn and died. The words on the barn door had changed and now read, 'everyone is equal, but some are more equal than others.'"

Absolutely fantastic - and an Orwell quote to boot, we are literally living in Animal Farm, guys.

Funny how when a benefit is removed from pensioners you're up in arms but you didn't utter a single word on this board about the Tories cutting... well, everything they've cut over the last 14 years. Chris explained it beautifully; completely transparent hypocrisy.

It?s actually great fun watching you all keep referring back to the Tory scum thread and quoting hypocrisy whilst the party you voted for got a huge seat, but weak percentage, majority, unravel after only weeks in charge. Starmers plummet from, well being a meeh sort of leader to an almost pariah, even amongst many who voted for him, is even more delicious.
You should all be flying the Labour flag and cheering Starmer on, but I know that?s not really an easy ask at the moment is it?

Yes, I realise that.

Just that young Goku seems to think if you plead guilty to something it?s because you?ve done it and you?re bang to rights, like the naughty shouter did.

This lovely fella seems to go against that as he?s pleading but adamant he didn?t do it.

I couldn't give a monkey's how the Tories failed or their hypocrisy. The conversation is now about the Labour Party. The idea that Labour incompetence can be excused because the Tory were equally incompetent is absurd. If you believe that you need to get your thinking cap on.

I was waiting until the budget statement in October but so far, it seems they're set to inflict more damage on the country and our international reputation than the Tories did in fouteen years. I won't list them. They have the most unpopular landslide in British electoral history. I'm pleased to say I was one of the 80-82% of the population who didn't vote for them.

Good job that isn't what I'm suggesting then isn't it? I'm merely pointing out your hypocrisy.

Equally incompetent doesn't enter the equation, by the way. Labour would have to shoot themselves in the foot with unbelievable frequency to be in the same ballpark as the last corrupt lot.

Anyway, as I asked before, where are the examples of these poor innocent folk who were rioting protest2ing and weren't being racist or violent?

My hypocrisy? I posted nothing that could be interpeted as hypocritical. You've constructed an accusation based on what you think I should have said rather than what I did say.

It is a fact that people are in prison for tweeting things that have been interpeted as inflammatory and been given severe sentences. There are plenty of examples. Go find them. I think we're done.

Dog whistles aside, are you certain that this hasn't, doesn't and couldn't happen in other communities?

It's like calling a shopper a shopper and a shoplifter a shoplifter.

Why the deflection?

I?ve no idea what other communities promote forced marriage followed by systematic domestic violence that is covered up by the family for fear of being shunned by their community.

Are you suggesting this report made by Pakistani women about what goes on in their community is somehow less relevant because others do it?

I see when our Europhile lawyer visited Germany recently he discussed smashing the gangs and working together to control mass immigration.
It would seem that Scholz didn?t tell him about Germanys plan to use the Rwanda facilities that the previous government agreed and built with the Rwandan government to send the illegal migrants to, the same plan and facilities that Starmer ditched on day one of his dictatorship..sorry government..without having the decency to tell Rwanda.
Mind you you cant blame Schulz, he obviously didn?t want to embarrass our glorious leader..bit of a North Korea reference there in case anyone missed it..probably thinking the poor chap has been under the cosh a bit recently and wanted to give him a break.
As I said before it?s like shooting fish in a barrel with this clown in charge.
