I have had an iPhone since they first came out so didn't follow anyone, wouldn't change now because I'm used to them and they do exactly what I want it to do both personal and work wise.

My tongue in cheek comment was aimed at TF who seems to take great delight in telling everyone, at even the slightest opportunity that he doesn't have an iphone and that everyone who does is mentally inferior.

In my experience, the main reason people buy an android phone is so that they can say "I don't have an iphone" in some melodramatic, egotistical condescending tone.

Fwiw, I've just bought a new 5s this week, it does everything I need and more, and was considerably cheaper since the 6 went on pre-order last week.

I only got the 6 because the upgrade was due.

If it rings, you can send texts on it, it takes a decent photo and you can get the football scores on it, what more do you really need?

Cant take decent photo with a device that has a lens the size of a pinhead and a sensor the size of a grain of sand, no matter how many pixels it has crammed on to it. They are OK for emailing pics but little else

You'd be surprised what you can do with phone cameras these days. Link below to an article about the improvements in the camera in the iPhones launched yesterday. Some impressive results!

If you want to take pictures you buy a camera if you want to make calls you buy a phone. The iPhone is amazing for work related things

Nobodies suggesting that a phone camera can replace a decent proper camera as obviously it can't. They do take pretty good snaps though and are always there in your pocket unlike a bulky SLR. Some of the effects are nice too. I use an app called Hipstamatic which takes some cracking pictures including making the photos look like the ones you used to collect from the chemist back in the 70's.

There are lots of these apps out there for photography and some of the results are stunning. The basic point and shoot aspect is decent enough, although low light ones aren't great to be fair.

I use a photo editing app called snapseed which is very good although the new built in camera app has some very good editing functions under iOS8.

I use Snapseed as well but mainly on the iPad with photos taken on my proper camera. Very good app.

Don't forget to buy your i6 accessories. The slimline i6 splint available now in any colour to match your bendy phone or you could buy your own matching pocket blocker to prevent those little accidents in your pockets. There is the free way though, don't sit down. I6 design engineering at its best. i7 out soon, body to be made of the highest quality rubber.

Hmm, what is it, about 9 out of 15,000,000 that have bent. Hardly a major cause for concern is it?

We hadn't had a pop at iphone owners for a while in this thread...well done! ;)

Some folk have put a massive phone in their pocket, this is mainly the 5.5 inch 6 plus not the 6, and spend all day sitting and standing and wonder why it's bent a bit! Hardly a surprise! Some of them put it in a back pocket and sat on it...that's not the phone or apples fault it's just simple stupidity!

Yep stupidity that anyone could have even contemplated ever putting a phone in their pocket. Shame on them. Nothing whatsoever to do with it being made wafer thin and out of pressed monkey metal. I reality terrible design, bad engineering and the designer should be on his way out.
