no one cares about the club potentially spending loads on executive perks whilst pleading poverty
yet we all care and are personally insulted when the chairman says we need more fans to balance the books

A few people saying that Turner took delivery of a new Merc last week. Does anyone know if it's a company car, his own or sponsored? Whichever way, you couldn't make the timing up, I think I'd have postponed delivery!
Merc's are the cheapest lease cars of any quality on the road and extremely economical, it wouldn't surprise me if the Road tax was NIL. He probably leases it personally and charges the club mileage like any other CEO would do. what do you expect our club CEO to drive? The timing would be down to the expiration of his previous 2 year lease and has nothing to do with the finances of the club.

but maybe he needs it to bring extra business into the club!!!!!
Why would they go to Autoworld for a Merc, when the main dealership is a spit away from the ground? The only Mercs Autoworld would have would be cars they have got as part exchanges!

Do you honestly think the club would permit the CEO to purchase a car at all?. His Kia has been handed to the Chief Scout, making full use of the vehicle.
I hope this kills this topic, but probably not !!!

Well said Ashley. About time a lot of the nonsense on here was countered by the people who really know. Keep up the good work, don't let the lunatics take over the asylum.

This board is littered with posters who claim either rumours or made up rubbish are facts just to add weight to their arguments.
Although, I'd suggest you don't spend much time reading stuff on here, you'd need a week to correct some of the guff that gets posted!

CT can't possibly have a new Merc, he's ducked up is job... I do my job perfect and I can't have a Merc... Why should he?
Get over it, it's just a car.

Ashley as a moderator on here I agree, so have suspended Tapton Blue's account until such time as we receive notification that an apology has been made and accepted by Chris Turner or he substantiates his allegations
