Bit of a curved ball but if anybody is out and is a bit peckish the cheeseboard in the gas bar is unbelievable value about ?22.50 between 4 of you with a a variety of cured meats and pickles

Sorry, but that?s a load of hog wash. Tactics are the structure by which the team plays, the team has to successfully deploy those tactics which means it?s reliant upon the skills and decisions of the players on the pitch for 90 minutes. The argument here is a simple one, that we are more likely to face a better standard of opposition in league two than we were in the National League, both defensively and offensively. Therefore, without any change, it is likely that our goals scored will be reduced and our goals conceded increased- with hopefully obvious implications. Whilst we?ve changed potentially some of the attacking options in the team, we have not changed any of the defensive options.

This isn?t something new, the management know that we need to improve our defence,, and have stated this in interviews, so I?m not sure why people are getting a little bit upset when this is pointed out. After all, this discussion was sparked by somebody stating that the management team didn?t know what they were doing..

    Absolutely correct

So Cook was talking to Grimes in his office and unknown to them there must have been a hidden microphone or a third person present disguised as a fly on the wall?
If these contentious rumours were true presumably it would be relatively easy for the club to work out the source of leaked private conversations and said source would be out the door.

    How big was the fly?

Don?t see any problem with him coming back , let?s face it Cook normally always picks players he has managed, he was in league above last time and was one of the best in that league and then ended up in the prem, would be a massive signing, yes the average age is slightly worrying but it?s a quality signing, anybody over 30 should only be on a 2 year imo

And when he declined it, they withdrew it so they could move on in the transfer market..

Who did you mean? The Jamie Grimes who has played in L2 for both Cheltenham and Macc.

Ffs he got released by Cheltenham our defence has been an absolute liability, he has been the best central defender but you can?t say with confidence he will be comfortable in the league above

bonnyman, just a thought to join a few of your posts together, i recall last year you mentioning the lack of covered facilities for local football, this may be a stretch but would it be appropriate to put the funds from charity game towards this, could be a good PR towards other monies. i am aware of social enterprise grants that we may be able to tap into...?

    Hi Phil,
Had my hand pinned back together on Saturday and there's no way I can play. Do you have the full complement now? If so, can I get my money back please? I'll try to make it to the Proact as a spectator but can't drive yet. Thanks for organising it and I hope you make a few quid for charity- is it Help for Heroes again this year?

bonnyman, i'm currently just getting over my latest injury, had a bad run for 2 years, i will be on standby as a last minute player if that's any good, i'd rather not play, but will if it means the event goes ahead, is that ok? I'm 39 so wouldn't be any good for young uns.
