Yes this is about turning a profit by making it better and sustainable throughout next season, except when the stand is being used for the larger away followings

Heat is everything in there and cannot be improved until temp outside rises.
God I hate this league.

For it to be viable long term, when hopefully were are back in the league, it needs to be moved into a semi permanent tent/marquee in the corner of the car park.

I think Derby have one outside Pride Park and they’re considerably less tinpot than us.

I don’t go to many home games, but made the effort today. Didn’t go to the supporters bar as I only arrived 15 mins before kick off but was surprised to find that beer (and food) is cheaper in a bar that is accessible to those who haven’t bought a ticket compared to the outlets serving those who have. I know loyalty doesn’t go far in business these days but that seems odd. I’d be interested to know if it’s breaking even on incremental sales / revenue allowing for fact it must be cannibalising sales from the concourse on that basis...

I was also hacked off about having to give my personal details in front of a crowded shop to buy a ticket - that I will be taking up with Mr Bean, so I might as well mention the pricing anomaly...

First half didn’t help my mood either....but it all came good in the end.

Will this policy of being quizzed before purchasing a ticket be quietly dropped next season?

I would have paid card to avoid readies but apparently too late?

I don’t sound southern yet, but I could see that my postcode confused her!

Nice i8 in the car park with a GB CFC number plate - the new CEOs???

Exactly.
It either needs to be an add on to the stadium ( unless there is a large area not being used in the ground) or a separate building just out the way but still on the grounds.

My opinion of the 'supporters bar' as it is now is that it's $h#t. It's more comfortable in The Spireite / Glassworks & The Donkey Derby.
Boiled down, it's the concourse with a table in it.
Went in once, and walked straight back out again as I found it no different than the east stand concourse - apart from the supporters bar being smaller.

We haven't been in, don't fancy it, imagine not cosy or warm or with any natural light. Would have thought club could add a marquee type building to the stadium.

Glassworks dropped their prices to match the supporters bar I'm told?

Don’t think it’s his as it’s been parked in there regularly on match days for at least 2 or 3 seasons now. Very nice motor.

Lots of clubs have pop up bars, marquees, music etc around the ground before games. Seen it done really well at places including Man City. It is doable but would require a decent investment

Yep they do, it’s sited just by the clough/Taylor statue. It’s not that big but I presume if it wasn’t worth it they wouldn’t bother. Slight difference is that pride park doesn’t have that much in the way of pub options compared to the Proact and Whitt Moor.

This is the key.

Some of us have said from day one we'd frequent a pub style supporters club, perhaps paying some nominal membership fee, that's better than the basic concourse yet not as fancy-assed as the lounges. Somewhere that could quite easily be another suite on non matchdays too.

However given what friends and 'BB' members are saying this clearly isn't that. And you've gotta wonder what'll happen if/when better supported outfits return.

Another thing, too; I'm hearing one or two in the lounges are snitching and bitching about others inviting post match guests into there. To be clear: these are properly dressed and impeccably behaved punters putting money into the CFC coffers yet 'someone' has snidely demanded their exit. Hell - it's not as if folk're crammed in there at that time anyway.

Petty, pathetic, and summat I'm sure'll be raised with GB.

This again?

Before restricting herself to more >ahem< 'sympathetic' platforms I thought Lesley Brentnall (eventually) admitted the personal details thing was voluntary. Yet punters are still being messed about?

And with it still being unclear if the same policy applies to visiting fans.

Looks like GB's inbox might be getting busy...
