Best signing in league one in my opinion , not that he would have suited us in our current position, Alfie Mawson (aged 21), centre back signed by Barnsley from Brentford. Played all last season at Wycombe (scoring 6 goals) and swept the board at Wanderers' end-of-season awards ceremony, winning the Supporters’ and Players’ Player of the Year awards, in addition to the Official Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Association's Player, Young Player and Away Travel Player of the Year awards. He also won the Wycombe Wanderers Independent Supporters' Club Player of the Yea award. He finished third in the running for the League Two Player of the Year award.

If Saunders is in doubt who to pick up from the lower league, always worth a look at the players of the year; supporters are not daft (Darikwa case in point).

The Swans have lost something with the sale of Ashley Williams, so this is, I presume, a replacement of some description.
