Another vote for Sorbo here, particularly as they have a great GF selection for ‘er in doors!

For a good solid buffet fry up, I love De Rhodes at Barlbrough. All you can eat and less than £10 including unlimited tea/coffee.

Jesus thats cheap but whats quality like for that wetherspoons standard?

Bulls Head @ Monyash yesterday. Was absolutely sound. Zero complaints. Plenty on offer on the specials board. Main menu itself was fairly limited.

Any recommendations for a good Sunday Carvery?

We usually go Elm Tree at Heath or Kelstedge Inn but fancy somewhere different for a change

Fishpond at Matlock Bath.

We've been a couple of times now and I would go as far as to say, it's the best in the area. Well done beef, medium beef, well done lamb, medium lamb, turkey, gammon, pork, Yorkshires, stuffing, roast potatoes, mash, creamy leeks, cauliflower cheese, parsnips, peas, carrots, swede, green beans, etc.

The only downside is you only have the table for 90 minutes.

Many years ago I sat myself across the road from that pub and painted it in watercolour. Now tomorrow, I just know I’m going to be obsessed with finding that painting.

It’s always been a decent place to eat.

We’ve been there a few times and by and large it’s spot on.

Yeah twin oaks is decent, good value for money anyway. Nothing fancy but for a solid Sunday dinner you can’t go wrong

Train was late getting to town on Friday, soulville couldn't move our booking, so ended up in the Galleon for a steak. Was decent, enjoyed it, drinks expensive though. Had a couple in Chandler's afterwards which was dead.

Had a bacon cob Saturday morning in Andrea's across from the premier inn (think it might have been the wimpy years ago?

Town has gone massively downhill since I last came up, it's ok if you want a piercing or a vape. Couldn't believe how quiet it was, loads of shops shut, the market was dire, hardly any stall holders. Just felt really sad to see it.

Had a cracking all you can eat breakfast for £9.99 this morning in the hotel, not sure if you can just walk in but if you can, it's worth a shout.

You pay for quality. It’s by far the best food I’ve had in town. Run by a very nice couple. The only reason I don’t go there more often is because I can’t get a table. They are doing a taster menu at the moment for £65, I’d love to give that a go.

We've been there a couple of times and its always good, other half reckons the Bulls Head at Holymoorside is probably as good.
