Armstrong looked very close to being offside from the through ball. It could be that the VAR did start to look at the incident but realised straight away he was offside so anything else irrelevant.
Yep but for sake of transparency and just keeping folk informed they should have said if this was the case. With the automated offside stuff they are using the decision for offside if pretty much instant, they could have popped up that graphic to show he was offside and then it didnt matter what happened after. As it stands with nothing shown, they didnt even have the graphic up to say potential penalty check, everyone is in the dark as to why it all played out like it did. They did put up the potential penalty review graphic when the Hungary lad ended up out cold however which makes it even stranger nothing was shown for the Scotland one. -

I think the thing with the pen was not so much that it wasnt given but it seemed to be glossed over very quickly. No real obvious checking of it by VAR. I'm fully expecting a UEFA statement about it with a hastily concocted image of the scotland forward being offside initially so they didnt check it. -

How he?s not given a pen I?ve no idea?gives that it?s a whole different game as guy who committed the foul was on a yellow so likely got a second. -

It?s changed a bit since folk were getting giddy over the fact we were on our way out cos we?d lost one and had one rained off and folk wanted buttler and mott out on their ears.
