What would/does Ashley add to the fight?

What lured Dave Allen was the potential for improvement, going from Saltergate to a new stadium. That situation no longer exists.

Have you anything useful to say or are you just off on another bout of insults and lies?

Lol - not a bad effort at trolling but well below your usual standard

Lies? Ok point out a single post of yours where you were critical of Turner during his tenure because there are a great many where YOU insult people trying to investigate wrongdoing while defending Turner

In the meantime leave the adults to discuss this seriously and openly and produce the posts requested above or take your childish trolling elsewhere
A new hope.

I'm just picking myself up off the floor.

Allen will sell with no further liability to him, for £5m?

That's my take on it

So trying to pull these latest revelations together.

DA is willing to sell the whole kit and caboodle for five million. That's it. Put a cheque in front of him and he's history. And even if it's from a local group. But hold on a minute - what about his handshake with the other consortium? Then does DA's apparent 'I'll stay if we go down' mean they've said they'll bale out if results go south again?

Either way if the majority shareholder's sincere five million for an outfit with our stadium and fanbase is a bl00dy good deal!

I'm not so sure it is, especially not with huge and deep running trading deficits.

Can you point me to where £5M "kit and caboodle' has been mentioned? Are we sure it isn't multiplying figures mentioned (by Ashley  ), ie. £250K and 5% non refundable deposit together

I'm enthused anyway, I had assumed I'd need a Euro millions rollover to buy the club, now all I need is a National Lottery win

Even if the £5m to Allen is correct, there's still a hefty sum on top to pay off the other debenture holders. I suspect they would either demand to be directors, or want all their money.

There needs to be some clarity on what '£5M' gets the buyer? Is the £5M for David's and his daughter's shares plus the write-off of his personal loans?

Yes there are the running costs but Shrewsbury have shown the way with those

Looking here,

https://s3-eu-west-1...F00ko7N2F1QU%3D

at the shares bought by DA club early on then it’s some £4,300,000 for his shares. The loans, if the figures above are correct, are written down by some 90%.

I can’t see that being it. There’s has to be more to it.
A new hope.

We know it can be done elsewhere but there's little evidence of it being possible here.

The way it's been explained to us, it's just the way it is and nothing can be done.

Ignoring the tiny profit off the back of huge player sales, for how long has this alarming trend been continuing?

Agree, £5M all in, can't see it

However if true, DA is doing us proud

The answer is Shrewsbury, we would start with a clean slate (accepting current contracts) I think it's very possible to have a sustainable club with the right management that the fans can buy into,we have it on the playing side

Job #1 (and 2 & 3) will be to identify exactly where hundreds of thousands of pounds are disappearing to each year. Things haven't added up for a long time.

At that price, if that’s it, lock stock and barrel, less other directors loans, it would be a very attractive proposition.

Employ the right people to run it properly, as the shrewd and Walsall have demonstrated then the club in this stadium could have a bright sustainable future.

If the Zorro idea above took off, 5000 fans at an average of £500 are involved, plus a few wealthier ones chucking in......

This could get very interesting.

I think the problem is we've all stopped listening, it was £15m a year ago and we would have jumped at £5m, it's not a bargain at that price (apparently you can buy Swindon for £3m) but certainly no longer unreasonable
