I have to say the acceptance of Elphicke just shows not much will change in terms of desire to be in power. Sorry indefensible and no amount of spin and photo opps will convince me otherwise. Poor KS, just poor. Even Earl can’t defend this one.
Hey - how can I criticise a SKS for extending the same hand of reconcilliation I've so often done on here.
Embracing the repenteth sinner, and all that.
But seriously, this latest stunt - let's live in the real world and call it exactly what it is - dispells any more silly suggestions the Labour leader lacks control of his party. As did the response to wavering support over Gaza. He's ruthless. He's owning the agenda. He's calculated there're more votes to be won with his approach than lost.
And who can argue given recent poll results.
Will I defend it?
No.
Do I like it?
Again, no.
However SKS is Blair-like in understanding he must, absolutely must appeal to the middle majority of voters instead of traditional ones.
Only time will tell if he can match his three times elected predecessor or what he'll do with power if so... -

The oxygen the internet gives hate speech, trolling and a desire for self worth is one of the sad side effects.
In a nutshell.
And all too applicable to a tiny handful on here.
But whilst previously guilty of poking those particular monkeys myself, perhaps it's best to adopt the 'Don't argue with idiots' adage.
Besides, regular conversations with non contributing observers tell me the moral majority have long since decided that for themselves .. -

The civilised world quite rightly stood shoulder to shoulder with the Israeli people after Oct 7.
But it soon became clear the Gazan campaign had nothing to do with freeing hostages - more have died by IDF bullets than been released by them - and more to do with naked revenge, an opportunity to pursue long held genocidal agendas and keep a vile regime in situ.
In fact it's leader out of a domestic jail cell.
Obviously the usual suspects will peddle their all too predictable Islamophobia. To the point we've characters who condemned the Iraqi invasion now cheering on similar in Gaza. However Netanyahu's turned global sympathy into global condemnation... -

A year long deal.
Clearly a kind of extended trial.
Faith in a Cook who's had him lined up for months...
