We'd all have a different retained list if we were asked and it's fun to debate who's on it and who's not but we aren't putting our job on the line like the manager is. I have trust in him that he'll get it mostly right, although I may not agree with every incoming or outgoing but I've no doubt some of the players he brings in, will be thought of in the same way as some of the greats in years to come, hopefully.
I'm really looking forward to the new season and I'm sure we'll do ok in league 2.

I don’t think we should be or will be approaching L2 on the basis that we can continue to leak goals at the rate of knots we have in the NL.

Yes, we need fire power but we also need solidity at the back. The team will evolve but the formation will remain much the same. Maguire isn’t the answer to our defensive issues but when he played as a stay at home FB our defence was more solid. Maybe, we’ll see something similar next season with a quicker player at FB performing that duty.

In the NL the manager’s son can get away with p*ssin against the wall being part of a bigger squad, maybe upsetting me greatly against the wall most of the time but now we’re supposed to be a bit more serious.

Please tell me in your wisdom why he’s preferred to ANY in the list of players released and I’ll concede.

It allows for 22 players over u21 level, seeing as Connor Cook will not be over 21 until 2026 he does not count towards the 22 players. Is that enough of an explanation for you? Now be a good boy and apologise to Josh/Goku if you wouldn't mind.

The fact of the matter is that if we want Cooky as manager then his son is going to be listed as a player. Only you want to slag Cooky off and put in sly little digs about him even though he's done nothing but improve the club since he walked in the front door. So if it's gonna **** you off but we still compete then I'll accept Connor Cook as being listed every single day and twice on Sundays.
