Unfortunately we couldn't manage six last time even though we had a decent side and a good manager.

I want to admire your optimism but you're obviously a bit mentally deranged so I can't.
Having watched cooks Portsmouth today you may be pleased or not to hear that they are a poor imitation of the side that won you the league.

From memory about 6,800 announced . Portsmouth nowt like the side Cooky had at Town in terms of quality. Mansfield unlucky to lose and would beat our current side comfortably on that performance. They are everything we are not - strong, quick, committed - and all over Pompey second half. Nice to see the blue shirts and Cook on the touchline though - a few good memories there. Evans and him had a right ding dong throughout - the atmosphere was very good and feelings ran high but despite all the posturing, finger wagging and obvious passion they shook hands at the end. I enjoyed it - especially the result.

It's a sad state of affairs when we're celebrating Mansfield not getting promotion from the division we'll be in next season and I'd certainly not be confident of any points against them next season, never mind 6.

Owners come and go. You lot now have your Keith Haslam and it won't be pretty but the fans will pull the club through . Obviously i would like you to spend a few seasons in the conference but i wouldn't be a Stags fan if i thought any other ..

There won't be many next season, or until the current owners leave, indeed, I'll remain a fan but will refrain from being a supporter until the current incumbents have packed up their stuff (including the files marked "stuff that's gone missing") and have left us for good.
I've just returned from a weeks holiday (with little/no internet connection) spent contemplating life, my love for this football club and the last few years "shenanigans" and within an hour of landing, having scanned this board, FB and Twitter and digesting an alarming email trail, I'm done until DA, AC et al have left for good.
I'll concentrate on trying to get my handicap down instead.

The last few days have shown exactly what we are dealing with.

Messer's Carson, Allen and Turner are doing more damage to CFC than Darren Brown. Which is some achievement.

With this current side you are absolutely right, but truth be told it will more than likely be a new set of players next season.
So with a lot of luck and a new team we might put up a bit of a fight for a change.
Only if the board are willing and that is the problem.
