Regular NL Clubs tend to give out contracts up to the end of April which coincides with the end of the NL season. I think Gregor Robertson said that if a Club is involved in play-offs extending into May then contracts are likewise extended for an appropriate number of weeks which is what happened with him when he was at Grimsby.
But, of course, in the EFL Clubs give out contracts to the end of June so any ex-EFL Club who still have players contracted from their EFL days have these players under contract until 30th June. So, Clubs like Notts County and Yeovil will have more players under contract after 30th April than any other Club in the league. This, unsurprisingly, puts them in a better position squad wise than any other team in the NL and, of course, would enhance there chances of success should the season be re-commenced in anyway at all such as having play-offs. No wonder they have taken the stance they have in the recent voting.
I thought I read somewhere that AC had confirmed we still gave out 'full time' contracts, ie valid until the end of June (with a payment for July, too IIRC).
