Having said that if it was minus degrees overnight and we all know snow is an insulator wont that mean the temperature beneath the covers won't increase so it will be frozen? I reckon it might be off. I hope not though

Yeah the snow helps if it falls before the freeze not the other way around so much.

On the other hand I can’t believe they didn’t take a look yesterday before it snowed so that suggests to me they think it is ok if they are looking for snow clearers.

If you take the windscreen theory it’s minus overnight but clear the snow and not frozen and first time all week

If it’s the same for the pitch you think it would be fine underneath bit scientific for Sunday mornings sorry 😂

I hope you are right! but I'm not so sure :-)

Tbh, I doubt it's the pitch that's going to be the problem, the surrounding roads and footpaths will tho, hopefully there's a plough down at the ground to help clear as much of the car park as possible, and a gritter doing circuits on surrounding Rds..

Four inches in Tibby.
Yep, the call for clearers suggests we already know the pitch is playable.

There's surely going to be a published decision time for the benefit of away supporters.

There's been quite a heavy dumping of snow in Leek. I think it would be very foolhardy of me to even think about driving over. So being selfish I hope the game is pulled today.

If it is on, there is a ticket in the South Stand available.

Anyone wanting to watch a game of football today needs to get down to the ground. Pitch perfectly playable but need way more people to clear this snow in time

The call won't come quickly enough for that. They'll be waiting for guidance from the SAG etc.

They’ll have set off by now - shame - but unavoidable - bluddy Norwegians!

The club will be keen to get the game on so they don’t have to dish out refunds and all the hassle/expense that incurs. The one thing in our favour if the game is off is that it won’t disrupt the fixture list as the re-arranged game has to be played this midweek and any replay week after

Just been to local shop, had to get off the estate to do so, that was fun.. main rds not clear, not sure if buses are running either?
I'd say as it is atm there's no chance of it being on.. hopefully it's another couple of hrs before ref arrives.

Sounds like some people want it off. Are they the same wrist slithers when town lose?

As before it will probably be SAG with the final decision. If the surrounding area is safe for thousands of people etc. Let's hope a brief rain shower before 12 would help

I nearly got knocked off my bike this morning, by a big council salt lorry. What an idiot, I shouted after them..
.. through gritted teeth.

Loads of buses running around town so the main roads aren’t too bad
