How much of that £95k goes to that shameless pi55pot Sheridan?

Lol
That’s why I found it strange folk were chucking in their streaming subscription tenners - a club shouldn’t rely on handouts from fans.

The season ticket/gate calculation was way out. The 2019 accounts showed we received £825K from that source which suggests about £35K/game.

Obviously we lose all the other matchday revenue but I'd say if we recieve £95K that is far better than expected

Some clubs in the national league must be absolutely quids in, e.g. Boreham Wood, they regularly get less than 1000

Of course I forget Oliver Dowden is. Boreham Wood ‘fan’ and it’s his constituency. Makes sense now

There is a good interview with the bloke who runs Dulwich Hamlet on the latest (highly recommended) Price of Football Podcast.

The facts are some clubs are receiving public money in excess of their losses where others such as us are being short changed.

As he points out it will turn from an arguable error made in haste to a scandal if the situation is not corrected given the League and Government have now been made aware of the facts.

Is it right that the national league representatives who voted on the money split as it is were all from the smaller clubs?

Not sure how accurate this is but it highlights the point being made.

If, as that suggests, some clubs are actually better off than they would be without restrictions it makes a farce of it.

The difference in average attendances give it away County on 5210 and Boreham Wood on 724 equates to £11K/M ?????

Wonder what formulae was used

Not heard that, looking at the joint letter it appears the league made an arbitrary decision

Heaven help us if our average attendances are ever scrutinised.
I may be wrong but it's stuck in my head that the old crew claimed 3100 ST's sold and the new crew say it was 2700.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

I recall Graham Bean being caught out providing an incorrect figure, then of course we have the inclusion of no shows being included in the quoted gate, which was amended part way through last season at the league insistence once they found out about it.

Surely the from a viewpoint of compensating for lack of ticket sales only, ‘no shows’ have no relevance as it’s money in the bank.

If we are trying to extrapolate ticket sales into other match day streams then it clearly is relevant

Genuinely interesting podcast covering aspects of the finances behind football.

I listened to the Dulwich chairman’s interview and he claimed that seven out of eight board representatives who suggested the cash allocation were from clubs in the lower halves of their respective attendance tables.
These go to eleven.

If this doesn't suit your device I suggest you Google it, the interview is in the second half of the programme
